Just a little perspective on this. The Pharisees were using Moses' divorce laws to toss their hags and marry young nubile trophy wives. At that time those religious leaders would be like a CEO or a celebrity and could therefore attract a young woman.
Jesus condemned their practice as adultery. Now divorce is still wrong and no christian should ever seek it, except for the obvious exceptions that Jesus states, adultery , but context is very important in such a discussion.
