This nation had prophets sent to them, like Joseph McCarthy and others warning of the subversion of the Leftists. We had clear warning from Eisenhour in this farewell speech, and clear warning from Kennedy before he was assassinated.

True, most of this was before our time, or happened when we were just little babies or small children, and had no way to do anything.

We were swept up in the lies of the 60's and 70's, and in the deception of the 80's and 90's, until we see the final takedown now.

How to deal with it? I'm not sure. I'm just now coming to terms with the reality.

Whatever we try to do, I do believe "they" are several steps ahead of us.

That's why I don't really trust in guns, or bunkers, or things like that. "They" have tanks and bunker busters, drones that can be armed, and spies everywhere. They already have 'laws' on the books where they can confiscate everything we have: Food, property, even our very selves.

"They" are on to everything everyone could plan to do, even to try to live off the land. THEY have the land.

Not saying a few folks could make it this way for a while, some even for a long time,...but reality is what it is.

We will have to face the music eventually, just like the citizens of Russia, and China, and Cuba, and Venezuela etc etc have had to do in the past.

Roll with the punches, and try to remain true to what we personally believe is right and wrong, moral and immoral...

Thanks for the thoughtful and concise post and ensuing thread, OP. Some really smart people here and, as always, it's nice to know others are on the same page and I'm not alone in my thoughts.

Whenever a totaltarian regime is about to assume complete control, they must first decimate the middle class. It happened in Chile (first with the Socialist and then with the Technocrat Pinochit), Cuba and Fidel, Franco, Mussolini, etc. the list goes on througout history. On and on.

The middle class in American is being crushed.

Maliously. Insidiously. Methodically.

My father grew-up as an orphan in a Salvation Army Children's home. He finished high school and went into the service during the Korean War. Worked hard, really hard, on loading docks, truck terminals, and finally rating bills for a truck line here in New York. A good man and my brothers and I were lucky to have him as our Pop. A good hard man worthy of my respect every day.

He didn't make a lot of money, but he could afford to take us to a ballgame; to go see the Mets or the Yankees (can't stand them and we call them the 'Bankees' as they're only as good as their money buys - whores with cleats) and we'd eat hot dogs like they were going out of style throughout the game. We had family barbeques, trips to the movies, one week summer trips to the shore, and new clothes at the beginning of the school year. We didn't want for anything. And if we needed something extra like a new fielder's glove or a bike, we wouldn't see my father breaking his ass to get it to us, but these things would show up. He worked hard and went above and beyond providing us with a home, an example of what it was to be a man working to provide for a family, and love. We were some lucky bastards to have him.

If my father was a man in his 30s today, I don't believe he'd be able to provide like he did for us. A ballgame? You've got to be kidding. The ticket prices are beyond belief (America's pastime? Yeah, if you're a fucking Sultan or a Wall Street rapist weasel). Movies? I have four kids and when we go to the movies the concession stand alone makes me consider a second mortgage. Airfare? "Wait, how much do you want me to pay per bag and you don't even have fucking peanuts on the flight." Milk $3.99 a Gallon, Gas $3.49 a gallon (can I drink that instead of the milk?) and health insurance (that's another thread altogether). The beat goes on.

Methodically. Insidiously. Maliously. A different world for the middle class.

Thanks for the post, OP. Please know there are others feeling the same way you do. That said, if you are a government shill as another AC claimed, all I can say is blow me. But I'm pretty sure you're not, and I thank you for one of the best posts I've read here. I wish you and your family all good things.

I thought whenever they shredded the constitution that it would be over, that people would be outraged, yet nothing. It seems like everyone is wanting to pretend as long as they get theirs for just a little longer.

If government workers, pensioners, and those who receive from the government which is now a majority want to keep pretending, I have finally realized that anyone working for it, saving, or trying to build a future, will have all their labor stolen, and their lives ruined. Yet with a super majority of Americans now hanging on by their fingernails, they are not willing to lose what they believe is entitled to them in a entitlement society

It's destroying what jobs I use to have coming in.

It's destroyed my industry.

I've come to understand that TOO BIG TO FAIL means one thing, it means the destruction of the middle class, and the strip mining of our nation.


So many people have lost everything, many others are struggling, and yet even more are cheating, or turning to criminal activity just to survive, including the states that have legalized everything lately except for prostitution.

I have no more dreams, and I was a dreamer.
There is no future, they've taken that away.

This is what happens when illusions overshadow reality.
Will and determination are powerful tools but people do not seem to be equally endowed with them. Whatever reality is, it is the construct we must live in and recognizing that we as individuals are not likely to effect it in a serious way, does not mean we cannot effect it in personal ways that effect the tiny sphere of reality that we live in.

3. I accuse the government of nothing less than outright theft. Stealing money from one citizen to give to another citizen or corporation is illegal, and unconstitutional. It is not charity, tax, or patriotic to have ones labor, energy stolen.

4. The Federal Reserve coining our currency and lending it to our government is illegal. Money is to be coined by congress, private individuals printing our currency into oblivion and charging us all tax through inflation is illegal. Who are these tyrannical individuals? They are not elected, and therefore do not represent me.

5. Most recent is the nullification of the constitution with bills like SOPA, NDAA, Patriot Act, all unconstitutional, and illegal acts.

These are all very real, and very precise charges. These are not light, or transient. They have not been levied without much thought, but they do explain what is wrong with our once proud nation. I am not unpatriotic, actually it is the opposite. I wish for our constitutional republic to be returned. For the power of the people to stand, for liberty and most of all freedom! None of the fore mentioned exist in this fascist United Government of American Slavery we exist under today.

In 1912 there was no Federal Income Tax (Federal Reserve Tax) NO Federal REserve (private banking cartel) and not much debt to mention. Now we are taxed slaves fighting banker wars and working our lives away for our masters to pay debts that are both fictional and are not ours to pay back. We are not cattle but free men. We do not need to bow to anyone. We are not Taxed Slaves!

What the Federal Reserve did to our once great nation was a violent overthrow of our constitutional GOvernment. This is not a revolution, this is a retaking of our rights, our freedoms, and our country. The revolution took place in 1912 and we lost. It's time to restore the republic for which it once stood.

Why secede and give them everything they have stolen from us?
Why break into smaller easier controllable pieces?

Why beg for that which is ours?

Everyone is going to have to make decisions in the near future as to what side they will be on. Some may try to run, but if those making a stand for freedom here fail, those who run will be found eventually.

We can disagree then. They aren't as good as people think they are. Anyone who has worked around or for gubmint or been in the military for any length of time can tell you that.

the only thing that makes me feel secure right now is that now I know how to grow a garden and save seeds. It makes me feel secure to know that the earth is abundant and keeps on giving. I live in a climate where it wouldn't matter if there was no electricity. I know where to get fresh water and I know what foods I can forage. I have the books I need to teach my children what they need to know. otherwise I would feel exactly like you.

Just adding info:

FHA now rules that with every FHA home loan you have to pay an upfront mortgage insurance and increased the mortgage insurance to 1.75%.That can tack on an extra 230 dollars to a simple $125,000 mortagage payment So now not only are you paying for a mortgage back to the bank but also paying insurance to them for them.
Can it get crazier? Yep.
they blame anyone that purchases an FHA loan is most likely to default on the loan! Because of low downpayment.
they claim that anyone under a 740 FICO score will default.
AND
They claim that houses are going up in price when the truth is totally the opposite. No one can afford them. No jobs.

and crazier yet.
Fannie Mae has begun getting appraisors to hand out low appraisals 15 to 20% lower on a home. With really bad comps. Then waiting for homeowners that NEED to sale their houses go into default, colletcting that MIP and turning around foreclosing on the house then putting it back on market for that extra 15 to 20%.
Driving realtors, buyers and sellers bonkers.

Today, I was trying to set out a 5 year plan, with new goals. There are so many uncertainties, I don't even know what is feasible and for how long anymore. First time I ever had this problem. I am a goal setter and I get there. But I feel demoralized by what you are describing.

"They" may not be omnipotent, but 'they' have the satellites, the military, and policing networks already in place, the new "laws" and the media on their side.

"They" are supposed to only have the power given to them by consent, but you think that still applies? Even if it does, we've seen how easily the masses can be manipulated by the propaganda to "give" them the consent.

The other danger is who to follow, and what would come after.

It's easy identifying those responsible, it's more difficult to replace it with something that works and can hold together especially in the coming chaos of broken promises and anger of lost perceived wealth.

in history, 'good people' have been hunted down, tortured and crucified.

in history, nothing has ever been 'rectified'. Instead, the immoral people take over and the good people suffer.
