the reason pork (pigs) are not eaten by many groups is because the pig's DNA is extremely close to ours. Its not because its 'dirty' as they would make you believe is the reason
Quoting: Matrix-V So they knew about DNA back in the middle ages? Actually the prohibition against pork goes back to the time of the Old Testament of the bible. Most so-called christians just like to conveniently ignore this, and/or try to make up loopholes to consider themselves exempt from the old dietary restrictions. I think some would argue that god had a tip-off on the DNA similarities.
