Any recommendations for free-email accounts?
I'm looking for a new email service that is free and doesn't require phone number or other personal identification info. Gmail is too invasive.

I only know of the mainstream email servers, and they all are crap, or are getting way too invasive. I wanted to close my old gmail account and create a new account, but it requires a phone number, etc, and I refuse to supply all that personal info... just so someone can track me! No thanks!
Call me a conspiracy nut, but a simple password and security questions should suffice.

Hushmail offers encrypted email. Don't email anything you don't want others knowing about without it being encrypted.

"How does Hushmail help?
Hushmail keeps your emails private by encoding each message using encryption. Encryption is a way of transforming a message so that it is unreadable to anyone but the sender and its recipients. Hushmail makes encryption seamless and transparent – we encrypt your message automatically before it is sent, and then restore it back to its original form when the recipient reads it."

Just buy a $10 Net10 or Tracphone, activate it (with a fake name if it requires one), then give the phone the old heave ho in the trash.

I agree with you on google. They suck ass big time.

Yahoo refused to give away user info to the NSA a while back. I don't know what ever came of it though. Try giving them a shot

If the server is in the US, forget about it

Anything outside the US?

I would prefer Russian or Chinese or somewhere not in the control of the US big brother

Re: Any recommendations for free-email accounts?
There are two that are free.

NSA.com,they need very little info from you because they already have it.

IRS.com,the only problem with them is that they lose a lot of emails.
