U.S. Postal Service Tries To Claim Immunity From State & Local Laws...
Immunity for Federal Employee's from State and Local laws...WTF?!?!? Who do these fuckers think they are, Obama?!?!?

A government lawyer’s attempt to get dismissed nearly $700 in traffic tickets given to the U.S. Postal Service is being met with a hearty and humorous, Heck no.

In a Jan. 22 letter sent to both the city of East Cleveland, Ohio, and the company that operates the city's photo-enforcement program, Postal Service attorney Jennifer S. Breslin says two school-zone speeding citations and five red-light infractions by postal trucks in December should be ignored.

“In providing mail service across the country, the Postal Service attempts to work within local and state laws and regulations, when feasible,” wrote Breslin, after reminding “To Whom It May Concern” that postal workers promptly deliver over 200 billion pieces of mail annually.

“However, as you are probably aware, the Postal Service enjoys federal immunity from state and local regulation,” she continued...

Wait a minute! Just called our mail carrier that lives next door...five miles away (I love living in the country), he says as far as he knows, the immunity part is only that the Feds don't have to put State Registrations, tags, or undergo State Inspections on their vehicles...he says the cops ticket postal workers around here once in awhile, and their office just pays the tickets...

The sad thing is our Postal Service was the envy of the world for a long long time...now it's just another failing bloated bureaucracy that lost its competative edge...

It's a lot of bullshit. The postal service should have ALL vehicles inspected, registered and under the same laws as anyone else. They do wrong ticket them. The postal drivers are at the top of my list of the worst drivers around. Obama, get your fucking head out of your ass and do something about this. For once in your life do something right.

It's the traffic camera company who wants their money. Screw them!

It's the driver who must obey traffic laws. No driver, no money.

You can't give a parking ticket to a postal vehicle that has first class mail on board.

In speeding cases you can stop the vehicle and ticket the driver.

In camera cases a civil fine is issued to the registered owner of the vehicle. No can do with postal vehicles.

All you postal haters, get a life, or better yet get a real job.
