Scattered neuropathy pain?
I hope someone can help me with this.

I deal with a small amount of femoral nerve pain in my lower leg due to physical trauma. In case you're interested, this nerve runs pretty much down the front of the leg rather than the back of the leg.

One of the main problems is cramping at night at the joint where the leg meets the foot.

Recently I've been having significant nerve pain in my right hand. The location of the pain has jumped from the thumb side to the side where the pinky is.

But last night, I started experiencing nerve pain in a bunch of different places.

There was even pain on top of my left thigh. All these pains come on suddenly like lightning except for maybe the cramping.

And then it goes away only to come back.

I met a woman years ago who was in a wheel chair who suffered from a lot of nerve pain. It was all over her body, she said. It started with a localized nerve pain from an accident and then one day it started to spread kind of helter skelter over her body.

She had a name for the condition, but what that name is escapes me.

I'm wondering if these scattered nerve pain impulses I've started getting would be the same kind of thing. If you know the name, I sure would appreciate it 'cuz I'd like to look it up.

I might have a touch of that, too, although my spots don't line up with the spots on a medical chart. Just a few spots that hurt to the touch on occasion.

Re: Scattered neuropathy pain?
Brightwinger, I don't know if it's the same thing, but you might start with looking up periphial neuropathy. I have it and they tell me it's connected to diabetes, but not always. I also have fibro-myalgia, so it's hard to tell where the pain is actually coming from. There are a ton of different neuopathies (sp?), but it's a place to start. Maybe just search on neuopathy and go from there. Good luck, I know how much it can hurt.hf

Sorry, I'm tired and spelling things wrong. Neuropathy. Forgot the r.

Go see a doctor little momma, talk to him and listen. then ask him about lyrica. Lyrica will help with that pain. It is designed to slow the nerve impulses, slows them down and helps greatly with nerve pain. It also is very easy on you, very little side effects and doesnt make you loopy.

It will help you. Lyrica was also the only medicine designed for fibromyalgia. Its the only drug on the market that helps that, but it also helps nerve pain, neuropathy and epilepsy, just fyi.

Oh you said tarsal, not carpal.

I already know what causes my femoral nerve pain. It's an incarcerated femoral nerve from laying on an operating table for 7 hours face down.

I still have muralgia/meralgia on my right thigh from it that has stayed for over two years although the doc said it would clear up in 6 months.

I have a friend who has something similar. She dropped a fire log on her foot, thought it was just a small accident. The pain kept getting worse and spread to her hand. She now has constant and severe nerve pain. The doctors diagnosed her with RSD also called CRPS. Might be what you're dealing with.

It may be in my experience Neurontin, Gabapentin = off label prescribed
to get or end up with Lyrica (formulated) as FDA approved in specific treatments.

neurology has improved greatly over the past couple of years and no they cannot fix it, but they can prescribe the drugs to lessen the pain.

You may have never taken meds before, and you may not like them. But im telling you, you will beg for help soon, a

nd beg for relief soon if you have a nerve condition/dmg. I am sorry what you are expirencing now, but natural meds will do nothing for you.

There are usually women clinics that are free to low cost depending on your income and situation that will help you. There are other means to look too, such as the health department, I know you probably don't want to go because we blacks, our women and children practiclly live in them, but swallow your pride if you have to. Just get help before it gets too bad.
