Me, too. I keep it at all times. It is anti-bacterial and a great air freshner.

I've got two pots of it growing, the bees love it, so what do I do with it, cut off the flowers and rub them on my skin? steep them in boiling water? what?

Works well if you have burnt yourself at the stove, put some essencial oil on and it relieves the pain.

Another thing that works is just ice water or but an ice cube directly on the burn. This takes the heat away and it heals faster. After the ice treatment, lavender would be even more effective.

Re: The many, many health benefits of Lavender
I fill 3 ounce size Dixie cups with water, a sprig of fresh lavender and 2 drops of essential lavender oil.

I freeze the little cups and keep them handy for burns, scrapes, and bruises and bumps. Just peel the paper cup down about half way and use this oversized ice cube on the injury. Hold onto the bottom of the cup and gently rub the ice cube back and forth on the skin.

Love my lavender. My favorite herb.hf

Thanks, I might try this recipe for someone I know who has asthma, from the article in the OP:

" In combination with two other essential oils, it may help ease asthma attacks. Here's the recipe:
· Peppermint, Mentha x piperita, 8 drops
· Eucalyptus, Eucalymptus smithii, 20 drops
· Lavender, L. angustifolia, 28 drops

Mix these three essential oils together and use as aromatherapy."
