They use great big complex explanations of things like cellular activity to try and make the point that this HAD to be a creation because it's just simply too complex for it to be evolution. The Carl Gallups commentary wasn't that compelling. He did a decent job describing the inner organelles of Euraryotic organisms, but didn't real prove that evolution wasn't responsible. Bold claims require bold data to back up his assertions and he failed in that. I'm not worried if Evolution was or wasn't the method utilized. I really don't see why people think it is or isn't. As Christians, if the goal is to witness especially to the scientific intellectuals, then using Science as a teaching tool requires a lot of hard core experts not the average layman. This is why over and over, most Christians actually do a disservice to the Gospel by arguing about Evolution. You must think on this. The route to altering someone's spiritual journey is almost always through the heart, that is the soul of a person, not the brain. Very few people chose Christianity through intellectual means. A long time ago, much of homiletics was done by trying to create more and more persuasive arguments, but that doesn't work especially with Post-Moderns. It's a waste of energy and a using a very old pre-1950 paradigm. What does work is showing wonder at creation, for it is inescapably lovely and intricate and only the most cold folks can not sense a Supreme Being by walking through a forest or meadow. Looing into the vast firmament of the myriad stars is one such way, and the upcoming Comet ISON will be a chance to discuss the wonder of a cosmic snowball being hurled in an elyptical orbit past our Earth. Talk about Jesus. Who can argue with His words of such magnificent love, His altrusim, and honor. These things are compelling about our faith. More time about Jesus and less time about Evolution. Well, I guess you'll have to take that up with Jesus Himself since He placed it on my heart to post this here today.  Be careful there, Hon. Yes, I feel inspired by the love of Jesus. That's why I've made 1000 posts on prepping in order to be a servant to the GLP community. That doesn't mean that Jesus Himself put ideas in my head. That borders on pride and on a personal stamp of approval from our Lord and Savior. Don't be brash, for such ideas can make you think that whatever you say is direct communication from Jesus. That would make you a modern day prophet and certainly subject to scrutiny. I know you mean well, but I wouldn't make such claims.
