waiters/waitresses generally make less money per hour than minimum wage, therefore they rely on their tips. i'm sure the more expensive restaurants have people who get paid and tipped better.

some pastors live completely from the donations of the members of their congregation. others have to work and preach as a secondary job in order to live. we all have seen priests/pastors living better off than some members of their own congregation - nice cars, homes, etc. - while others don't.

this pastor and group of 8 knew that they will be automatically charged 18% for a party of 5/6 or greater. otoh, i'm sure that the waitress would have to give 10% of her gross income to be a member of that pastor's church.

on this earth, nothing is free - except the love and care the Creator gives to all.
