Good trusts evil.
It doesn’t want to believe that evil is capable of evil.
Good believes evil and thinks it is also good.
Good believes evil is like itself.
Evil assumes a position of power.
Evil must convince good, that it too, is good.
Evil must be surrounded by good, so its evil goes unchecked.
It is those who are good who ultimately enact evil’s chaos.
An error perhaps? For evil would never do evil.

I came back to check on my post.
Like some creepy GLP ghost.
I've been drinking a bit.
And am feeling quite lit.
So GLP, I offer a toast.

Here is something I wrote way back in 1993. Don't know why this has stuck with me all these years, but I like it.

The Tribe Of

Dead among the living living among the dead
The tranquil war rages on the beast has awoken
He arose from his grave I guess he never really died
He probably never really will I remember when he came
But that doesn't matter now the snakes eat his flesh
He loves it
Love what a trivial word we use it only when it suits us
Hate we use it as a weapon makes us feel good
Life how sad nothing but a play where the actors sit naked in a room with bloody towels over their heads and quote lies
Death how much wonderment
We fear it but I welcome him with open arms it is nothing but a new beginning
Rain is falling
The beast is sleepy once more
You'll get used to it
Maybe
I love you
Goodnight to all
The watcher has come and I dare not defy him.

A "FOUND" CHEROKEES' PRAYER

I GIVE THANKS TO THE GREAT WHITE SPIRIT

THE ONE WHOSE VOICE IS MINGLED WITH THE WINDS

WHOSE SPIRIT IS WITH HIS PEOPLE.

I AM GRATEFUL TO HE WHO ANSWERS THE GRANDFATHERS PRAYER.

THE EARNEST PRAYER. THAT WE MAY CONTINUE AS A PEOPLE.

THE PURE SENDING OF PEACE AND UNITY. THE SCATTERED DESIRE.

YOU HAVE ALLOWED THE GRANDFATHERS THEIR HOPE.

I HAVE HEARD THE DRUMS AND RECEIVED THE BLESSING IN MY EARS AND ON MY HEAD.

MAY I RISE IN THE MORNING STRONG TO SEE THE DAY.

A DAY WHEN OTHERS LIKE ME, FIND THEIR PLACE.

A PLACE WHERE THE WIND BLOWS, THE GRASS GROWS,

AND WE ARE THANKFUL FOR ALL THINGS.

I Gave up Everything to Gain it All.

That All was to Know your Embrace
I will not Listen to Them.
For They do Not Know Love.

I Knew How the Universe was made.
In Her Heavenly Abode,

I was There when the First Stars Shone
I was Light in the Darkness
I was Before the Moon, and the Tides,

Before the Creatures Crawled Forth
From when the Oceans Sent Forth Life
I Could See from an Eye Within,
The Spark in my Mind knew Everything.

Without Words I could Speak,
Without Hands I could Levitate
With Just my Thoughts Could Create.
And my Soul Lit my Spine
When I Asked for Love to Burn my Heart.
To Know your Smaller Hands
To Protect You from Man's Existence
That Could Extinguish in an Instant.

You are Beauty Personified,
And I Called you My Creation,
To Claim the Abandoned Bride,
When You were all Alone,
I Promised You Would not be Alone Again

Even When the Sun Aged,
And a New Sun Would Form,
Lighting up the Ages,
Extending to the Universe
They Marry in their Passions
To Where the Womb is
To its Scattered Seed,
Children Come Forth from the Clouds
Sons from the Sky,
Daughters from the Earth,
The Veil Breaks Free,
The Wings Fall and Tear,
The Sky Lets Down Rain
The Elements, Fire,
The Shooting Star and a Serpent
And I am Bound in Chains

All things are fleeting

There are a few distinguishing moments in life when we are forced to
look back and see where we have been and where we are destined to go.
Pages from yesteryear clatter in the back of your mind.

Like wind chimes in the distance.

Ding ding dong, ding ding dong.

The sound echoes. Mostly sweet; sometimes sad.

Ding ding dong, ding ding dong.

The wind whips through the hollow of a dying tree. Echoing… mostly in your mind.
Regret cascades over you for loves that are lost and lessons learned.

Ding ding dong, ding ding dong.

The wind stops still and sounds fade anon. Your heart stops for that fleeting moment; beckoning the chimes to waken. The slow and steady pulse resumes. The levanta shifts and a new melody is born. Not quite distinguishable, but still there. She clears her throat and bells a new beginning.

Ding Dong Ding, Ding Dong Ding…

All things are fleeting.

Ding Dong Ding, Ding Dong Ding…

It’s time to answer the world’s call.

funny that I just read yr poem about the moon cause as thread was opening, I thought to submit poem I just wrote about intense full sunset of Jan 30 a couple days ago.
here it is. single mom...can't afford an acct. would love the blessing
from
an american mom
*****************************************************
The sun was telling me something tonight
as it said goodbye...silently...a message...an undeniable
message.
A chorus of stars stretched across the sky
waiting to be heard
struck by the full unfolding of this beaming over reaching sun.
so close – too close – too big for my heart.
pouring out fully across the sky
like there was no
tomorrow.
stirring my soul with it's consuming brilliance.
Awesome umber undertones in a white hot shining sun pouring itself out over the sky like
a final goodbye.
Pulling me into it's aura like a relentless lover.
Saying something.
Singing a chorus of last chance light into the horizon.

I told the wind
to tell my friend
to capture the sun today and send it to me
and he did.
he knew.
he listens.
there are songs of the sun to be heard
if you listen

Falling into the ocean...the suns last burning hot burst
became
fiery mushroom cloud
billowing sunfire inside the cumulus cloud guarding the horizon.
racing my heart with images in my mind of Nagasaki
wordless screams, life evaporated.
No songs
talking no more
no green flash
no warning of the end
no escape from it's departure.
The mushroom cloud hovered at oceans edge drinking in the last light of the sun...
finally dissolving into tomorrow.
I am still listening.
There was a song inside this sunset.

The people of the land
they are listening to the heartbeart of the earth...
still...
to the songs of the sun.
the sun talks
it dances
listen.

Might be breaking the rules, but mine's a 2pt poem that I wrote a few years apart, hope you enjoy!

*ps. It's based on Stephen King material

Of Seven, Eleven, and One

There was a tower of dark divine,

Of shadow and power, of creeping vine.

Within this tower, a secret deep;

In form of flower, a Godly reap.

The flow’r, a rose, held magic of old,

It murmured in prose words bitter and cold,

Which gripped men’s hearts and bid them come.

But once this quest starts, it cannot be won.

There was a tower, my single dream,

Enslaving me to the vast N1n9teen.

Part Deux: The Not So Dark Tower

Many a tale there have been wrought,
Of the tower which anchors all.
The beams of time, of space and thought,
Which many believed would fall.

But there is a will, a strength of heart,
Which humanity has found.
It calls to us and makes us start
to wake, and look around.

We see the evils our deeds can cause,
The hate, the rage and pain.
We yearn for earthly life to pause,
We wish away the rain.

Many a tale there have been wrought,
Of the tower which anchors all.
But the war is over, the battles fought,
Our back's freed from the wall.

Alas the clouds've begun to break,
The shadow's moving on.
While truth arrives and claims its stake,
Amid a dazzling dawn.

Emblazoned in a beam of light,
The tower still stands strong.
And from the top one has the sight
To judge 'tween right and wrong.

And as the darkness fades away,
The people have a choice.
Crawl back into the silent void,
Or stand and use your Voice

For as our heartstrings amplify
Our Earthly symphony,
The Universe will breathe a sigh
And sing along with glee.

Many a tale there have been wrought,
Of the tower which anchors all.
But do not think they were for naught,
The tales were but a call.
 Quoting: King Felix

Winter to Spring:

‘Tis long in time, and time again,
Since one has heard the tale.
Summon strength, come God and men,
In time all must prevail.

‘Twas in the hour, of the day,
At waning of the year,
When wrought in power, one did say,
‘Hope, be gone, not near.’

And like the wind,
Through fields of grass,
Hope, it turned and fled.
And left all else to fight and sass,
‘Til all our fields were dead.

But one did see what one had done,
And why no flowers grew.
And so one said, “It has begun!”
One’s trumpet then one blew.

From mountain stream a light did gleam,
So too from forest and field.
Hearts of men, united again,
Came forth with sword and shield.

Together they stood, bound but by good,
In forest, field, city.
For see they could, 'twas well understood,
Evil grants no pity.

What they fought, they knew quite not,
The enemy came all the same.
And in the midst, of the fallen's list,
The foe did alas too lay slain.

GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE

In the Garden of Gethsemane, they had arrested me,
And my friend Judas, had kissed me on the cheek,
In the house of Annas Im interrogated through ,
for how much I disobeyed them, for how much I loved you

Before Caiaphas I stood,
The Sandedrin thus had frowned
They said I couldn’t love you,
nor condemn them while I was bound

I said nothing, though the high priest said,
I adjure Tell us, by the living God,
you are the Anointed one, Son of God ?”

I told him, That he will see, under the angelic ,
heavenly applause,
Me at the right hand of the Almighty,
the "blessed" Son of God

On the cloud of heaven they shall see,
My return for my love.
My witness to all to speak,
what was ordained from above.

I had spoken earlier,
The Queen of Sheba will arise
and condemn this generation.
Sentenced to death for my sins, and yours,
forgotten is our adoration"

The Sanhedrin concurs my blasphemy
and who denies,
is my friend Peter in the courtyard,
who denies me three times.

Standing before Pontius Pilate, he says:
I made myself a King
Under Rome and the Jewish Leaders,
I have subverted many things
“Sentence him to death” he goes to authorize,
But my leaders thus denies ,
leaving it for Pilate to decide

Herods Passover Feast
is interrupted on what to do.
Kill me on the prophecy,
kill me for loving you.

Im whipped and released under Pilates plan,
to have Barabas stand in, the one who murdered a man
“Crucify him” they say regarding me,
Pilates wife has a premonition ,
she begs Pilate to see
But he washes his hands free,
he washes his hands clean

Behold the Man !

I carry my cross to Golgotha,
the Place of the Skull,
I carry my burdens for them
to crucify and to cull.
Between two criminals I hung,
while you wept tears down below.

The one who bore my child,
the one who I dared to know

My Mother by your side,
I told you not to cry.
Resurrection is a promise,
our resurrection is nigh !

From the morning until Noon,
I carried my promises for you
And from noon until three.
I died as the King of the Jews.

Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani,
My God , my God why hast thou forsaken me.
I only loved her as I loved her
and they refused to see

Ephphatha ! Be opened.
Behold. I Make everything anew !
The seals of love will be our witness,
our children will bear our truth

Amen,

In Congress we have a real curse,
she's packin' some heat in her purse
her name is Dianne
(kinda looks like a man)
and the story from here gets much worse;

Our weapons? She says "turn 'em in!"
"Ten rounds or more," that's a sin!
This second amendment witch hunt
spearheaded by the baggy old cunt
is putting my head in a spin
"Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Alright Dr. Astro recently had a contest on here. I participated and it was a lot of fun!

So I wanted to offer a contest myself... I've spent much time thinking about what type of contest...

I figured it would be fun to see what kind of poetry my fellow GLPers could come up with.

So do you wanna earn a full upgrade for a month?

I spent my Karma and got the Karma Prize 'Free FULL upgrade for 1 month for a friend'

The rules are simple... write us a poem... no plagiarizing! It has to be an original poem!

This contest ends on February 3rd... This Sunday Evening 7pm EST

I'll pick my top 10 faves and start another thread with a poll after 7pm EST Sunday... this poll will have the top 10 picks so that GLP can vote for the winner!

The runner up of this contest will receive an 'Free TRIAL upgrade for 1 month' I already have that Karma prize.

In order to win this prize you must have at least an registered account!! If you havent got one... make sure you create one...
your poem will not be a valid entry without at least posting it under a registered account!

Of course I am not competing lol
But I wanted to show you a poem I did...
as an example
I'm not the best poet... but its a poem none the less...
If I can write one... you can too!

Luna

The moon she shines
Over land and sea
I'd like to think
Only for me

Luna my love
My alabaster queen
Will you smile?
Just for me?

She glides so softly
As she passes by
The romance of night
The heavenly sky light

Luna my love
Come and visit me
Please share with me
Your secrets of eternity

I reach my hand
Into the sky
But as always
You pass me by

Luna my love
Take me away
Let me journey with you
Each night and day

Give me a sign
Maybe a shooting star
That in your heart
I don't drift far.

Oh Luna my love
My majestic angel above
Give me just a sign
That your heart is mine

 Quoting: Luna by Dr. Acula

Alright GLP have at it!

PS... I am refraining from commenting but im reading em all

WE

Confused, unknowing, aimless we travail,
The secrets of why, we search to no avail

Finite in the flesh, imaginably infinite as the soul,
We continually seek but cannot pinpoint our role

In ignorance we create the tools of our own demise,
Threatening to end our quest with billions of endgame cries

Hateful, jealous, prideful, filled with much greed,
These injurious emotions from our own minds do we breed

A scourge on our planet, a plague to our orb's companion's,
The river of transgressions, cutting our own wicked canyon

But through the murky turbidity redeeming qualities do emerge,
Perhaps preventing a dire fate and our concluding, forlorn dirge

Love, compassion, hope - Virtuous traits are these,
A boundless curiousity that cannot be appeased

Creativity we possess, from an endless cup does it flow,
Beautiful song, straight from our souls we do show

Wonderful stories, we conceive merely with our minds,
With endless possibilities, our great fables are entwined

Perchance there is hope for our lonely species after all,
Or maybe it's unrestrained optimism to think we won't fall

On the brink of destruction many times have we been,
Only to roar back , our great story still being penned

If anything, there is one notion that can truly be said,
Our resilience is mighty, we always forge ahead

However, dear reader, a real danger gloomily prevails,
An enemy with power to ensure that our quest will fail

To find the answer not very deep into the mind must we delve,
Our extinction's likely source is our worst enemy - ourselves

Confused, unknowing, aimless we travail,
The secrets of why, we search to no avail.

DO YOU KNOW ME ????

I am myself no matter what,
Sometimes good sometimes not,
But here in what you think you see,
Remains the real and unseen me.

You'll see the me that you expect,
Because it's you that I reflect,
This expertise has taken time,
But is it art or is it crime?

It's me who shapes this outer shell,
It's me who knows myself so well,
So insecure but you are too,
That I'm not me and you're not you.

And if we understand that fear,
We can meet each other here,
Accepting little flaws we find,
With loving hearts and open minds,

And someday we will wonder why,
We ever tried to live a lie,
We'll know we're better off by far,
To love each other as we are!

THE DANCE
hear them they are marching now
they hide behind the thunder clouds
holding every single card and
calling out the rules

you struggle try to get away
its raining every single day
your heroes all have passed away
and they're calling out the rules

and we dance, and we dance
we've given up on romance
and we dance

A BUMS GIFT

Does anyone see me?
Does anyone care:?
Weary and lonely
I pass through this place

Misunderstood,
Forgotten,
alone
always seeking His face

Selfishness runs rampant
no time to care
Hurry Hurry
Pick up the pace

The world
does not embrace me
Outcast am I
refusing to run their race

No worries
I am not of this world
only in it
seeking God's grace

That loving
amazing grace
that saves you from
being in my place

He knows
you Could not endure
what I must
every day face

TIRED

Its a battle uphill with rocks on your shoulders,
Always rattles the brain with thoughts of getting older.
Cope with life and strive to stay alive,
tired of work but you got to survive.
You go to work just to forget,
forget things not, for strength to work.
A quick perk in the form of a check in your pocket,
but your left in a wreck and bent,
when that check goes to rent,
and you can do nothing to stop it.

Lessons learned in life are life lessons learned,
when you try to earn your keep,
you will just crash and burn.
With Political Armies and Corporate Kronies,
All living life as a bunch of Phonies,
They have nothing to give and everything to gain,
We need Robin Hood back
He'll make it Rain.

I am getting sick or all the craziness,
I can't believe I'm finally saying this,
Sandy hook was a kook,
Or simply a false flag fluke,
And I'm tired of saying this,
This place is full of lunatics,
Really let's face it more so schizophrenics,
Remarks of shills and you can't eat silver,
But I've gotta be honest I really don't wanna hear,
One more post about the nobody,
I'm pretty sure we are all gonna die,

As you can see I'm not a great poet, but figured I would give it a shot.

WAS IT ON PURPOSE?

why did you have to lock that door?
when I'm a soldier in the field
who's dying in the war

try if you grapple a lion and roar
over trivial matters
and trinkets galore

sacrifice every singular door
ending lonely and darkened
and hating the floor

you're shaking forsaking the family lore
walking downcast and laden
to whatevers in store

trudging exhausted in a makebelieve war

This is where I come when I feel a need to vent,I`ll lay down my cards till I`m emotionally spent. Everyone`s allowed, both good and bad, whether you`re a Jesuit priest or a dead beat dad. Some here are stupid, some here are smart, some laugh at innuendo some laugh when you fart. I`ve said some things offensive and i`ve spoken from my heart, some replies proved me stupid, some replies proved me smart. I`ve been banned several times but I keep coming back, like a drug resistant strain of a bacterial attack. But now I`ve payed 10 bucks and I finally went legit, and now i won`t be banned for saying piss, fuck or shit!

"Behind closed doors"

I gaze upon an empty altar
Though I have yet to falter
Where's the peace I search after?
Impatient, I tie this halter
Fixed onto a hanging rafter.

Knotted lace holds my disgrace
A fragile case remains misplaced
May I recover what I've lost?
No race or chase may help retrace
Exhausted, my hopes are tossed.

Scarred, I've let down my guard
Under assault, and now bombarded
Will I ever settle this score?
Surrounded, my walls are barred
If only I stayed behind closed doors.
