Twas the night before the super bowl, when all through GLP
the noobs were bumping their story's of heaven and hell.
The tards were blasting the boards with crap, spamming all
the story's with shit that made no sense.

The anonymous cowards were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of getting banned danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘straitjacket, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down to read all the crap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my PC to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I knocked over my beer,
tripped over the dog and fell on my rear.

I saw a UFO, it was bright on the new-fallen snow
Gave the luster of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But aliens, and eight alien puppeteers.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must a trick.
And the aliens whistled, and shouted, and
called out crazy names, just to sit down and play
some alien game.

As I looked closer, I saw they were just surfing, and
on there PC's it said, God Like Productions.

I wrote this when I was young....

"Need some help dad?"

All he cared about was his 12 ounce can,
and you call yourself a man.
You said I was your best friend.
Yet you let me down to the end,
time and time again.

I gave you my love and loyalty.
Only to open my eyes and see,
that daddy had no love for me.
I held on to your hand,
even when you dragged me through the sand.
I always had your back,
until I felt my heart crack.
I was there when no one else was around,
yet you repeatedly stomped my heart into the ground.
I picked you up when you fell down,
as you stood and watched me drown.
I gave you heat when you were cold,
but you always gave up and said, "I fold."
I helped you like no other,
treated you like my brother.

Gave you chance after chance,
but you left me dry like unwatered plants.
Leaving my soul tattered and bruised.
My mind lost and confused,
to find again I was used.
I gave my life away,
every fucken day.

Why?

So you could drop me into hell,
leave me there to dwell.
Yeah, you may be in jail,
stuck there without bail.
But it's me that's screwed,
left here bitter, numb and crude.
Because you couldn't be a man,
to your old number 1 fan.

That's me,
guess I'll see you when you're free,
DADDY!!!

If you don't write a poem worth reading
You might as well be leaving
The mods here aren't at all intriguing
Nor is the thread poster appealing

I wrote a small piece about ol chippy
and my writings were instantly delety
If you don't bow down to GLP
You will surely get the baineety.

"Behind closed doors"

I gaze upon an empty altar
Though I have yet to falter
Where's the peace I search after?
Impatient, I tie this halter
Fixed onto a hanging rafter.

Knotted lace holds my disgrace
A fragile case remains misplaced
May I recover what I've lost?
No race or chase may help retrace
Exhausted, my hopes are tossed.

Scarred, I've let down my guard
Under assault, and now bombarded
Will I ever settle this score?
Surrounded, my walls are barred
If only I stayed behind closed doors.

Ok, I wrote one, I can't believe it. Never wrote a poem in my life, but you guys totally inspired me. Here goes

A child is born
of a Mom and a Dad
A sibling or three sprinkled in
A happy cupcake, don't we make?

A child is born
on a swoosh and a skate
No more a thought than
a crumb on a plate.

Pumping out joy and willing to wait
Hearts all a fire, anticipates desire
Befallen, whilst life fails to deliver
Not even a sliver.....of mirrored joy.

Eons later, no longer a hater
She beckons on the light
to shine forth from warm
center of centers-the never ending
sea of God's Holy Graces
Spread the word, change the collective conscious......

I Gave up Everything to Gain it All.

That All was to Know your Embrace
I will not Listen to Them.
For They do Not Know Love.

I Knew How the Universe was made.
In Her Heavenly Abode,

I was There when the First Stars Shone
I was Light in the Darkness
I was Before the Moon, and the Tides,

Before the Creatures Crawled Forth
From when the Oceans Sent Forth Life
I Could See from an Eye Within,
The Spark in my Mind knew Everything.

Without Words I could Speak,
Without Hands I could Levitate
With Just my Thoughts Could Create.
And my Soul Lit my Spine
When I Asked for Love to Burn my Heart.
To Know your Smaller Hands
To Protect You from Man's Existence
That Could Extinguish in an Instant.

You are Beauty Personified,
And I Called you My Creation,
To Claim the Abandoned Bride,
When You were all Alone,
I Promised You Would not be Alone Again

Even When the Sun Aged,
And a New Sun Would Form,
Lighting up the Ages,
Extending to the Universe
They Marry in their Passions
To Where the Womb is
To its Scattered Seed,
Children Come Forth from the Clouds
Sons from the Sky,
Daughters from the Earth,
The Veil Breaks Free,
The Wings Fall and Tear,
The Sky Lets Down Rain
The Elements, Fire,
The Shooting Star and a Serpent
And I am Bound in Chains

Come to me my love, let me taste of the Nuptial Fruit, draw deep from the well spring of your love. Fore ours is likened to those who are under the spell of a love potion , who’s magic is exposed, witnessed and made manifest. . Its essence like an elixir poured from the vessel of our being, with each stroke we consummate our love for one another , our corporeal vessels merging as one. Our bodies swell and fill to overfull , soaked with the sweet sweat of our lovemaking.

Be ever gentle with me , caress and consol my soul with your burning kisses , bequeath to me your everlasting love, that I will always tremble at your touch. Your touch upon my skin is likened to the musician who plucks the string of the lyre, the harmony and pitch reaching fevered peaks. Or perhaps as if Aphrodite herself were plucking the strings of her lyre exciting the passions of our hearts and loins.

Guard and protect our love that I will always, till the end of my days blush at the mere thought of our moments together, obliged as such to keep such thoughts for private moments. Moments to be kept secret to prevent mischief from interrupting the memory of our sumptuous moments together shared in the throws of passion . Our love eternal and complete.

Yes my love I bequeath to you my everlasting love and devotion to you and you alone. I do not oblige you to elucidate or to utter even one word, for your touch alone conveys in full our requited love for one another.

And always know my love that I will always be there to minister to your body, to meet your every need , to devise when necessary your unspoken needs, wants and desires . Truly I am a beneficiary of some fortuitous event put into action by the very Fates themselves, now witnessed in the ethers and made manifest here on earth.

Each new day it is as if our love is replenished and made new, as if it were our first meeting filled with anticipation and desire. My only fear is that the morning sun will come up, exposing this as but just a dream.

Ode to Elusive Butterfly

You are so distinct,
though in distant field you grace.
The aura of your beauty I capture,
still afar I glimpse not your face.

Flutter about elusive one
nonplus of my gaze.
Dance upon the wind,
oh innocent one,
sincerity delights the day.

When close to my proximity,
at last,
I behold full face.
Hello-
I call thee-
nonplussed you dart with grace.

I want to thank you Doc and all of the other posters here. I haven't written anything in years. You guys with all of your creativity have gotten me inspired and I've been writing again, I would like to share with you the first poem I've written in about 15 years.

Welcome Home

Welcome home
The walls are black
Up on the mantle
Lie souls in a sack

Winds rush through branches
Of trees all dead
The way they move
It puts fear in your head

Welcome home
To the ashes of the past
All of your joy
Can no longer last

All of your love
Is now dead and gone
Memories all fade
The world has moved on

Welcome home
There is nothing here for you
Nowhere to run
Nothing you can do

This is it
You cant go on
The corpse of hope
Lies on your lawn

Welcome home
Take your last breath
Welcome home
I am death

It's not as good as a lot I've seen in this thread, still I'm happy with it and I'm even more happy to find that when I sit down to be creative I'm not staring at a blank screen or sheet of paper till I quit out of frustration.

Once again thank you all. hf
 Quoting: AgnosticDeity

This brought tears to my eyes and seems just as good as any other here. I am sooo glad you are feeling inspired. I also was inspired to write the first poem I've ever written, I couldn't believe it, its up just a couple posts from this comment.

Thanks Lily, I cannot believe I produced a poem. This is fantastic to me. I have never felt I had one iota of ability when it came to this type of expression. But when I started reading all these amazing entries, it stirred something in me, I was almost like, higher self, you go girl, like it was coming from some other part of me. Such a cool freedom. I may even be a convert. Its too bad I was taught in school that it HAD TO BE WRITTEN A CERTAIN WAY, cause that is such bullshit.

Whispers From Heaven

A Poem by RAC aka Saddletramp

The Sun goes down, the Moon comes up,
You slowly close your eyes,
And somewhere deep within your mind, the shadows start to rise.
You can dance with them upon the moon,
Or on the head of a pin,
While laughing at whispers from Heaven that we will never be here again…

The days were long, the nights too short,
Still you joined the noble fight,
You took the time to thank your maker for his eternal light.
But whether you danced among the stars,
Or on a line drawn with a pen,
You can still hear whispers from Heaven that we will never be here again…

You didn’t give it up easy,
But you wear your guilt upon your sleeve,
Sometimes it’s hard to remember those for which we grieve,
So whether you dance for his glory,
Or believe it is a mortal sin,
We all hear whispers from Heaven that we will never be here again…

BURN

a poem by RAC aka Saddletramp

There is only you, and the taste of skin;
Goose bumped and trembling;
Under moonlight pale, and spinning skies unending.

There is only us, locked here in this endless moment;
Muscles clenching and moaning sighs;
A tongues darting touch, like whispers from a heart flies.

There is only me, eyes like liquid glass finding purchase in starlight;
Here I am and I'm set to burn;
Sliding into you, quicksilver pouring fire and ice at a souls quivering turn.

There is only this, stars framing bodies stretched out on the ground;
One more night, and one final time;
One last burning memory, living there forever in your heart and mine…

The Hook

a poem by RAC aka Saddletramp

Drifting over you, like the sands of time;
Invading tender reaches, a hands soft touch, enduring tastes so sublime…

This is the longing sigh from a needful mind.

The heart cries out, like a feather on the wind;
Soft veils of lace give way, a lingering breath on yearning skin…

This is the maddening touch of a lover’s hand.

For she belongs to him, but not him to her;
The eager quickening of her pulse, his hearts deafening purr…

This is the fools promise of love without allure.

Trapped here in this picture, this window in time;
Seeing, tasting, touching, feeling everything, two hearts entwine…

This is the fleeting moment of release so divine…

Befallen, whilst life fails to deliver
Not even a sliver.....of mirrored joy.

Eons later, no longer a hater
She beckons on the light
to shine forth from warm
center of centers-the never ending
sea of God's Holy Graces

You never wrote a poem? Could have fooled me, great job, Isis! I like the rhythm to it, how it builds. sun
 Quoting: Junkyard Lily

Thanks Lily, I cannot believe I produced a poem. This is fantastic to me. I have never felt I had one iota of ability when it came to this type of expression. But when I started reading all these amazing entries, it stirred something in me, I was almost like, higher self, you go girl, like it was coming from some other part of me. Such a cool freedom. I may even be a convert. Its too bad I was taught in school that it HAD TO BE WRITTEN A CERTAIN WAY, cause that is such bullshit.
 Quoting: Isis One

It is liberating, and straight from the soul...words can heal, one of the most powerful forms of communication we sometimes forget about in our fast-paced world. Glad you have found your poetic voice, let it blossom, girl! hf

so for 10 bucks I can tell the truth about a certain chip on my shoulder?

But for twenty I can get boulder

With forty without rest I put it to the test

I would pay that amount to get him to attest

Yes this is a sign i am colder.

You know AC, I was thinking, someone should start another thread where we just add on a verse each and see what we can create. Maybe next weekend?

Only some can do...
but everyone is a critic...

And regarding "Re-posting", I obviously don't care if you do it here, I just don't want people re-posting all over the Internet...

The actual poems and beginning formatting was a copy and paste from my FB Notes page, so I've now removed the no re-posting request for GLP...

"Behind closed doors"

I gaze upon an empty altar
Though I have yet to falter
Where's the peace I search after?
Impatient, I tie this halter
Fixed onto a hanging rafter.

Knotted lace holds my disgrace
A fragile case remains misplaced
May I recover what I've lost?
No race or chase may help retrace
Exhausted, my hopes are tossed.

Scarred, I've let down my guard
Under assault, and now bombarded
Will I ever settle this score?
Surrounded, my walls are barred
If only I stayed behind closed doors.

DO YOU KNOW ME ????

I am myself no matter what,
Sometimes good sometimes not,
But here in what you think you see,
Remains the real and unseen me.

You'll see the me that you expect,
Because it's you that I reflect,
This expertise has taken time,
But is it art or is it crime?

It's me who shapes this outer shell,
It's me who knows myself so well,
So insecure but you are too,
That I'm not me and you're not you.

And if we understand that fear,
We can meet each other here,
Accepting little flaws we find,
With loving hearts and open minds,

And someday we will wonder why,
We ever tried to live a lie,
We'll know we're better off by far,
To love each other as we are!
 Quoting: Yes I Did !!!!

I have another poem I've written to share.

"Desperado"

Run from lanes you once pertained
Storms of rain paint painful panes
Drain away your vain campaigns
Day by day no day remains
Plain terrains explained insane
Main domains contain no main humane's
Train by train your chains are stained
Maintain profane veins laid ingrained
And cane away your planes of grain.

WE

Confused, unknowing, aimless we travail,
The secrets of why, we search to no avail

Finite in the flesh, imaginably infinite as the soul,
We continually seek but cannot pinpoint our role

In ignorance we create the tools of our own demise,
Threatening to end our quest with billions of endgame cries

Hateful, jealous, prideful, filled with much greed,
These injurious emotions from our own minds do we breed

A scourge on our planet, a plague to our orb's companion's,
The river of transgressions, cutting our own wicked canyon

But through the murky turbidity redeeming qualities do emerge,
Perhaps preventing a dire fate and our concluding, forlorn dirge

Love, compassion, hope - Virtuous traits are these,
A boundless curiousity that cannot be appeased

Creativity we possess, from an endless cup does it flow,
Beautiful song, straight from our souls we do show

Wonderful stories, we conceive merely with our minds,
With endless possibilities, our great fables are entwined

Perchance there is hope for our lonely species after all,
Or maybe it's unrestrained optimism to think we won't fall

On the brink of destruction many times have we been,
Only to roar back , our great story still being penned

If anything, there is one notion that can truly be said,
Our resilience is mighty, we always forge ahead

However, dear reader, a real danger gloomily prevails,
An enemy with power to ensure that our quest will fail

To find the answer not very deep into the mind must we delve,
Our extinction's likely source is our worst enemy - ourselves

Confused, unknowing, aimless we travail,
The secrets of why, we search to no avail.
