Frozen
Cold as ice
One would call love a sacrifice
Is it a sacrifice to dream
To have dreams
To not know their meanings
I had a dream
Of a love so full of joy
It overflowed like the fine juices of a ripened fruit
Then the sun faded
My dreams left tainted
All I can feel
Is the sting of a bite
Colder than ice
This sacrifice left me frozen
Molded solid
Cold as a winters night
If thawed
Left to my own device
Could I love again
Is it better to love
Than not love at all
Or to dream you've loved
Freeze in that moment
Rather than thaw
To find it was not love
Just a thought with no emotion

I wrote this when I was young....

"Need some help dad?"

All he cared about was his 12 ounce can,
and you call yourself a man.
You said I was your best friend.
Yet you let me down to the end,
time and time again.

I gave you my love and loyalty.
Only to open my eyes and see,
that daddy had no love for me.
I held on to your hand,
even when you dragged me through the sand.
I always had your back,
until I felt my heart crack.
I was there when no one else was around,
yet you repeatedly stomped my heart into the ground.
I picked you up when you fell down,
as you stood and watched me drown.
I gave you heat when you were cold,
but you always gave up and said, "I fold."
I helped you like no other,
treated you like my brother.

Gave you chance after chance,
but you left me dry like unwatered plants.

Leaving my soul tattered and bruised.
My mind lost and confused,
to find again I was used.
I gave my life away,
every fucken day.

Why?

So you could drop me into hell,
leave me there to dwell.
Yeah, you may be in jail,
stuck there without bail.
But it's me that's screwed,
left here bitter, numb and crude.
Because you couldn't be a man,
to your old number 1 fan.

That's me,
guess I'll see you when you're free,
DADDY!!!

of dreams
idly passing by
faded impressions then
vividly displayed as though now
sadly

of dreams
whence you were here
now that I can't see you
missing you ever more again
I cry

of dreams
of your presence
of your little footsteps
of your selflessly patterned youth
of love

of dreams
of the sadness
of these, that hath made me
binding together all that's good
I fall

of dreams
of now, of you
of our fathers fathers
coming forward to welcome you
homeward

of dreams
of life, of pain, of wondrous new days
of time slipping away and beneath us
go forth, my son
go forth, my love and conquer
all the things that are laid in your path
your steps are lighter your path seems yet clearer
one love to conquer them all, one love to bind us
one love to carry us on till treasured silence blinds us
one love left in my heart, one love so very
all that is left of me, upon their shoulders carried
go forth, my buddy and conquer all of the world
for standing there aside you, stands one pure love unfurled

Ahhhhh Thank you Dr. Acula, I've been wanting to do this for long time. You inspired me to write this just now.

I met him at Halloween party
he was Phantom of the Opera
I was Elvira, looking hearty
We instantly clicked and became chummy
Dumped the guy I was dating
because I'm no dummy
Then I contacted hubby to be impressed
He said my contacting him made him blessed
He shared of himself over phone talk
We met again for coffee and a walk
Our first date, he snuck a kiss on the cheek
We fell in love within one week We married 4 months later Always giving thanks to our Creator
We have so much in common…
Our love for the Lord, animals and each other
He was my strength for my dying brother
We now have 3 dogs and 2 cats that sleep with us
Bed is crowded but we don’t fuss
We see the insanity that is in the world
Read the word that is would be done
Doesn't mean we don't own a gun
He is my best friend forever more In sickness and health, We love one another to the core

Crayons..

living together, contained, inside
my feelings and the memory of nights
spent restless beneath your light,
I count the days until my fingers
once more taste the sigh of your
sadness, the madness is only the
loneliness as the crayons
continue to portray me
loving you, falling deeper
into the words protecting me from
you pulling the script across my
sight, blocking you out of the light
of that perceived reality,
time ravages on the softest part
of then creeping beneath the lines
that separate common wisdom from
what's really true.

I cast out a prayer as a
path into the heart of
nothing, empty laughing
softly behind my fingertips
I turn sadly to my pillow
lost in the craziness of
love pushing against the
edge of knowing... untold are the
hours descending me slowly into
darkness, picnicking alone
sagaciously as you slip quietly
past my defenses.. I remember you
long before I remembered you...
watching your face solemnly devoid
as you dreamt of me without you
the alarm clock blaring annoyed
feet pondering gravity I stumble
blind through the fog of my pains
stirring coffee still mumbling
in you feeling your fingers on me
as I make waffles and think of
the places your kisses fell....

Might be breaking the rules, but mine's a 2pt poem that I wrote a few years apart, hope you enjoy!

*ps. It's based on Stephen King material

Of Seven, Eleven, and One

There was a tower of dark divine,

Of shadow and power, of creeping vine.

Within this tower, a secret deep;

In form of flower, a Godly reap.

The flow’r, a rose, held magic of old,

It murmured in prose words bitter and cold,

Which gripped men’s hearts and bid them come.

But once this quest starts, it cannot be won.

There was a tower, my single dream,

Enslaving me to the vast N1n9teen.

Part Deux: The Not So Dark Tower

Many a tale there have been wrought,
Of the tower which anchors all.
The beams of time, of space and thought,
Which many believed would fall.

But there is a will, a strength of heart,
Which humanity has found.
It calls to us and makes us start
to wake, and look around.

We see the evils our deeds can cause,
The hate, the rage and pain.
We yearn for earthly life to pause,
We wish away the rain.

Many a tale there have been wrought,
Of the tower which anchors all.
But the war is over, the battles fought,
Our back's freed from the wall.

Alas the clouds've begun to break,
The shadow's moving on.
While truth arrives and claims its stake,
Amid a dazzling dawn.

Emblazoned in a beam of light,
The tower still stands strong.
And from the top one has the sight
To judge 'tween right and wrong.

And as the darkness fades away,
The people have a choice.
Crawl back into the silent void,
Or stand and use your Voice

For as our heartstrings amplify
Our Earthly symphony,
The Universe will breathe a sigh
And sing along with glee.

Many a tale there have been wrought,
Of the tower which anchors all.
But do not think they were for naught,
The tales were but a call.
 Quoting: King Felix

THIS ^^^

Amazing cadence, flowing free,
brings order in its wake;
Its rhythm surely could decree
the path our world may take.

This kindred spirit hears the call
and what its truth denotes...
So, I request that one and all
lend King Felix your votes!

You know the first thing we had in common was our lack of familiarity. Then we wondered. Looking out to each other, we shared quizzical glances and enquiring looks to the fullest, seeking to define one another with some useful, relevant reference point from which to view the other. Like the Artful Dodger, our minds danced about each other, cool in our tact as we ply our appraisal, both quick to note the differences well listing them in our mind. The way you dress, or comb your hair; the habits that you bare. With free-flowing form, we capture these images while shaping our impression of each other. Still we wondered. Then in the sparkling instance, with twinkled eyes we smiled at each other. That we knew. Growing closer

DO YOU KNOW ME ????

I am myself no matter what,
Sometimes good sometimes not,
But here in what you think you see,
Remains the real and unseen me.

You'll see the me that you expect,
Because it's you that I reflect,
This expertise has taken time,
But is it art or is it crime?

It's me who shapes this outer shell,
It's me who knows myself so well,
So insecure but you are too,
That I'm not me and you're not you.

And if we understand that fear,
We can meet each other here,
Accepting little flaws we find,
With loving hearts and open minds,

And someday we will wonder why,
We ever tried to live a lie,
We'll know we're better off by far,
To love each other as we are!
 Quoting: Yes I Did !!!!

Dr.Acula started a poetry contest
on a welknown conspiracy forum
A lot of people did their utter best
and the results were really awesome!

Dr.Acula is quite a poet himself
the one that rather lives in the shade

The Greatest Quest

She makes her entrance onto the Grand Stage of my life,

Full of elegance, grace and poise.

Brilliantly captivating the audience that looks on in awestruck wonder,

These archetypal figures enshrouded by the dark of the theater.

She speaks with a voice that even the angels envy,

Full of strength, wisdom, nourishment and power.

Her smile penetrates even the coldest and most calloused of hearts.

Her eyes pierce through the soul like a surgeon’s scalpel,

Carefully peeling back layers of pain and remorse,

Bringing to light all that has lain dormant for ages.

The inner Critic searches the collective consciousness of humanity,

Scouring through the record of tongues,

Searching for what can adequately describe the beauty he has beheld

Only to find that there is none that exist,

Realizing that if he were to find such a word it would lose all its meaning in an instant,

Because she is wholly beyond description.

Ineffable and Indescribable; there are none to compare her with.

The world seems to stop turning and time stands still as she glances in my direction.

A magic spell of the highest degree, she causes everything and everyone to disappear.

Losing myself in the reflection from her eyes.

There is no place I’d rather be – no greater hope or desire with which one can strive to attain.

I may ascend to the highest of heights or dive to the deepest of depths –

I could understand all the profound mysteries of the universe or discern the hearts of man,

The Earth could yield forth all of her gold, silver and precious gems,

Potentates and kings could lay down their crowns at my feet,

Ye, even If God himself offered to surrender His throne and bestowed upon me all the power of Heaven.

None of those things would even come close to the joy and completion I find in her arms,

In the feeling of her warm breath upon my neck,

Her soft hand resting gingerly in mine,

The shelter and solace of the sanctuary of her heart.

Men search the globe looking for treasures,

They travel far and wide hoping to find fabled lands of mystery and intrigue,

Still there is something that is truly priceless – elusive and far more rare.

Such a quest would be the noblest of causes, only for the most courageous and determined,

There are no hidden maps – no charted territory or signposts to guide you along the way,

You could spend your entire life looking and may very well die trying to find it.

But blessed is he who is diligent enough to never stop looking,

A long and joyous life is his reward,

For he has found the greatest treasure of them all,

Her love.

Fringe

Insane as the senses allow.
Beyond sight, touch, and sound.
See if in the mist,
feel it in the rift.
Not gentle but fair.
Words want to care.
Clearing all that is there,
doesn't make sense fair.

Her love.
