NOAA NWS Space Weather Prediction Center Friday at 13:48 · A brush with density... A filament eruption on the southeast limb yesterday ( [ link to youtu.be] sent a CME (plasma blob) out into space, some of which may brush past earth on February 3rd. At this time we're expecting active geomagnetic conditions (but less than G1 - minor storms). Aurora watchers in the high latitudes should keep an eye. Here is the latest WSA-ENLIL model run showing the CME arrival. A couple of other model runs show the CME arriving earlier in the day on the 3rd. Visit www.spaceweather.gov for the latest updates. From the NOAA NWS Space Weather Prediction Centre facebook page. Posted Friday 2/1/2013 @ 13:48 GMT/UT. OP is panicking over nothing.
