How about this... everyone stop shoving their personal beliefs into other people's faces and just keep your own beliefs to yourself and close loved ones? If everyone did that..we would see far far less fighting and bickering going on. I am a Christian but one thing i learned and learned quite quickly is that shoving my own beliefs into someone else face does more harm than good.

Although there are certain people that "DO" have a calling by God to spread the gospel...problem is..far too many people believe they are the one to do this task when they really are not. The only people or Christians that i know that truly had a calling from God were people that truly were 100% obedient to God and lived their life 24/7 close to God...and that requires a life quite similar to the Amish in all honesty because the Amish separates from the world..they do not partake in it very much... most Christians i see...only worship and give God their time on Sunday..that is it. They havent got a clue to what it requires to serve God..very few Christians do in all honesty.

Truth is..i get alone far better with unbelievers than i do with other Christians because they are not hypocrites and do not pretend to be some super uber Holy person...in fact it clearly says that it is better to never know God than to know him and indulge in sin and go about willfully sinning,etc,etc,etc ....

Even myself i must examine myself each day to make sure i watch myself closely but honestly i do not trust myself..i do not trust my "fleshly" desires and it is quite hard to keep that in check. Very few Christians are "real" Christians...that is why it says the gate is narrow...there is a VERY BIG meaning to that...that just fly's past most Christians.

Like i said..if everyone would just keep their mouth shut and do their thing with God alone in their prayer closet...this would would be so much better and if Atheists would stop bashing Christians and picking on them..this world would be so much better...although i am not generalizing because not all people are like this...but quite a few are, unfortunately.

One more thing.. Christians do not have "real" faith in God..at least most of them. Like i said..it takes a special calling from God to tell a human that his duty is to spread the Gospel..but because people have a lack of faith in God...they feel the need to pressure their children, loved one's and friends, strangers,etc into their personal beliefs...but they fail greatly with one thing...their faith in God that God has it all under control. God will make it happen in due time for those unbelievers. Having faith in God knowing that God will make a way for that unbeliever to know him, to learn what God is really about but because a lot of Christians have a severe lack of faith in God..they try and do it under their own power rather than just trusting in God that in due time on God's watch...he will introduce himself to those unbelievers sooner or later..when God feels it is time for that person to know God.

When we give someone the gospel and they reject it, you are to shake the dust off your feet and go on because you have done all that God has required of you to do for that person. You are then not responsible for their not knowing about God. It is up to us to tell them, then they have the responsibility for their own decisions after they know what is right

All i have is empty boxes.
The boxes of proof, the things i actually know, dont make room for some spiritual being that cannot be grabbed in my now and yet. Thats the reason why i dont belive in things, other people telling me.

Even if the person Jesus Christ existed then it still doesn't prove that he could turn water in to wine or preform any miracles at all. Nor that the Bible is literal word of God (remember not 1 chapter was even written by Jesus, or even written during his lifetime).

Also there is actually more evidence Mohammed actually existed then Jesus of which there are only 2 vague (not definitive) references outside the Bible, not a single one even contemporary. Does this make Islam "more correct" then Christianity? If not then why would you make this argument in the first place?

As a science/engineer type myself, I completely disagree.

and god is a yet to be defined foggy notion, with different notions of the foggy notion, from different schools of "thought"

how is possible? show me the way?

Having worked with test engineers in a laboratory setting myself, I see no possible way that science could possibly arrive at any conclusions, or even initial findings, for that matter. Methodology is a problem, and how would you begin analysis, qualitatively or quantitatively? where would you begin? how would you explain the results? Validate, verify, check, cross-check, etc.

Sorry. I'd rather run tests for rocks on mars, before I begin testing for theory of a vague notion in someone else's imagination.

I personally would start with psychology, and NOT science.
