This is unreal! How did Iran get this technology?

Fiberglass models should only be in the hands of the US!

Is that a cassette player in the middle console?

Judging by the post, it seems that most of you do not know a single bit of info outside what you are fed by your media as propeganda.
Here is a titbit. Did you know (from Wiki)
Iran possesses the technology to launch superfast anti-submarine rockets which can travel at the speed of 100 meters per second under water, making the country second only to Russia in possessing the technology.

Iran is among the five countries in the world to have developed amunitions with laser targeting technology.

Iran is among the few countries that possess the technological know-how of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) fitted with scanning and reconnaissance systems.

Iran is among the 12 countries with missile technology.

Just think, there are nearly 200 countries in the world. 27 of them in Europe who is meant to be technologically advanced. Yet Iran is among top 7 in many areas and top 12 in many many others.

Don't forget the rabit and the hare story. There is a lesson to be learnt in this story for many of you posters

OK, I say let's stop dissing the jet and try to figure it out.

I am absolutely NOT an expert, but I love fighter jets and I see a couple of problems with the F313 from the videos and pictures:

- cockpit looks untreated, like plain glass (this brings problems for stealth)
- canards are not in one piece fully movable, as they should for agility!
- aircraft skin looks shiny and irregular, not as you'd expect from a stealth aircraft
- moving surfaces are... not that many, which degrades agility
- wing is "broken" vertically instead of being "flat", this absolutely does not go well with stealth!

I personally think, although I love the overall shape, that this is just a bluff to make Iran look more powerful and dangerous than it is, and the F313 has not the capabilities of any modern Western jets. I would bet even the Rafale or modern F-16 are more agile and stealthier than it (head on at least).

Okay if you look at the cockpit photo the avionics look at least real BUT! look at the danger sign on the side of the aircraft. just above that on sill that the canopy would rest on while closed. You can see the aircraft is wrapped in one of the those polyvinyl raps. you can see the sides of the aircraft are hollow. the wraps dips down between the hollow walls .Also there is no metal support or locks for the canopy on the sides of the aircraft . that seem will not seal at 50 mph imagine 700 mph. Look down the side of the aircraft too you can see a wave in the wraps also . real nice mock up but my pick up has more of a chance of flying then this thing .

The chopped fiberglas on the inside of the cockpit fuselage looks like the inside hull of my ski boat. Actually my ski boat interior has a better finish.

Lets look at this logically. Shall we?
There are over a 100,000 qualified experts in this field in western countries. if not more
These nations are enemies of Iran and every single one of them would love to blast aqnd critisize this tec. Yet in this case not a single one of these qualified experts have come out and said this thing is shit.
Now what maes you thin you know more than they do?
Besides, we are all moving in to a new era after the threshold of 2012 where totally new technologies that defy logic of past are meant to come out.
Day by day we should be able to see more technological advances coming out of different nations that would seem against the logic of the old scientists and yet they will defy all their logic through preformence.

Would it not be funny if West decided to copy the extra pair of wings that Iran has added. we shall see.lol

The gauges look like they came from Harbor Freight, or possibly a surplus store.
What's that little loop of cloth in the front center of the seat. Maybe it's a control mechanism for when the pilot gets a woody during combat??

lame excuse
Iran is not stupid. Last thing they want to do is to show something that they would be made a laughing stock of. They know what they are doing and showing. As much as we may want to laugh showing our own insecurities towards this, it is still a fighter jet and perhaps a totally new concept too.
You seem to forget that Iran was easily able to bring one of the most advanced US drones without damage.Don't tell me you do not remember. Or do you have a lame excuse for that too?

Here is a bit more info from wiki regarding Iran
Just remember that Iran has been under heavy sanctiond for the last 34 years, including technology.

Iran is the 9th country to put a domestically-built satellite into orbit and the sixth to send animals in space.

Iran is an example of a country that has made considerable advances through education and training, despite international sanctions in almost all aspects of research during the past 30 years. Iran's university population swelled from 100,000 in 1979 to 2 million in 2006. 70% of its science and engineering students are women.[1] Iran's scientific progress is reported to be the fastest in the world.[2] Iran has made great strides in different sectors, including aerospace, nuclear science, medical development, as well as stem cell and cloning research.[3] According to SCImago, Iran could rank fourth in the world in terms of research output by 2018.[4]

Yes we are talking about 'improvised' vs engineered technology. The jet is not real, it is a scaled down mock up, where a full sized man cannot fit in the cockpit.

This plane is a joke. The only thing stealthy about it is you can't see out of the cockpit.(everyone else is invisible) if you can't see the wall right in front of you how can you see miles ahead?
No HUD?
I will say I am a pilot and you would have to put a gun to my head to make me even get in that thing.
I don't see that it would even get off the ground, make make a few taxi laps but that's all it looks like it could do.
This plane really makes me laugh.
