You can indeed make a rock fly with enough applied power, but you have to be able to land at a speed where the pilot and the machine will survive the process. There isnt enough control surface, and what there is is too close to the airframe. There are not enough pitot tubes to monitor the various flight parameters, you need a number of those in clean air. There's too much wrong with the design such as it is, the dihedral complicates reflectivity and it's maneuverability, the intakes and exhaust are wrong in proportion, the list goes on and on. |
