FBI surveillance in my neighborhood?

It's a joke, the real FBI would use something like A1 dry cleaning.

How far is the range on that app? You could rough triangulate that you know if you know the distance the app covers. Test it on your own place. Drive down the block a half mile, a mile, a mile and a half until you lose your own home signal. Say it's one mile.

Then get a map and do the same sniffing out FBI SURV. Go in any direction until you lose the signal. On the map draw a ring with 1 mile radius with your position when you lost the signal as the center. Then go say directly west of that one mile or so and try it again. As soon as you lose the signal make another ring on the map. Go to another location say south of the first two and repeat. Where the three rings on your map overlap, that's where the source is, probably accurate to within 100 yards maybe.

Why would the FBI even broadcast a name? It's just a joke. Anyone can put anything they want on their broadcast.
