Re: Why are all these stores closing nation wide, if the stock market is up and things are peachy?
This is probably hindsight or common knowledge, but offcourse they use their media to let us believe all is well, because then we will start buying their crap again so things would really go the way they would like to see, but eventually will still be the same as now and "it" has to crumble sometime.

To us all on here its clear that every thing they have tried so far has failed and its become appearent that the whole system is flawed to begin with. But like the ego's "they" are (whoever they are) they can't take it that their plan is failing so they try and try to keep the game up, but in the end its a lost game and we will win (at least i like to hope/think that)..

Seems this thread has brought out all the Dave Ramseys putin Hasnt your generation done enough damage, maybe its time to let the younger smarter playboys take over and get this ship back on course!
 Quoting: maxx411

Here's an idea, why don't we do the opposite of Ramsey's advice - spend more than we earn and run up a huge debt as a country.

OH WAIT we're already doing that.

It's working SO well so far

Obama fiction brought to you in form of stock market manipulation called quantitative easing through Fed and corrupt stock market flunkies (who Obama disses on occasion to fabricate another useful illusion for sheeple).

I thought the stock market was up, and things were peachy and every one was loving higher taxes, obamacare, a collapsing dollar, and millions leaving the work force?

Stock markets would be manipulated for the sheeple's sake.

ie they want to continue living "the dream".

This ^^ I think they're waiting to get all their ducks in a row. Whatever or whoever has to be dealt with to bring this country to it's knees. When all that has been achieved.. they'll pull the economic rug out from underneath us and we'll fall on our face.

To create chaos too early would upset/interfere with their connived protocol.

Prayer could change things.. but most people would rather do things the hard way and cling to the illusion they have "control".

2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray and SEEK MY FACE, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We're running out of time and options people

Things will continue getting worse until people are working a day for a loaf of bread. Then the great war will start. If you want to understand the timing and order of the end time events before the day of the Lord starts you need the read the 66th book of the Bible, chapter 6. 666 is the number of man and here is where the age of man is finished with 6 sixes:

Book 66: Chapter 6 : Verse 12 (6+6) IS the 6th seal of Revelation.

Thing of total beauty isn't it? Only our creator could of made it work like that.

the market being the highest it's ever been sounds like a good indicator of an impending sell off by the 'investing elite', fueled by short sales, which leaves the peasants with the bag, a very empty bag

Those huge lines at the gunshows....they finally figured out that this country is collapsing. But they're to late and this administration is not about to let them get armed as we know it. They will soon roll out a ton of new laws for registration and background checks keeping the cost up. But registration with the 10 year prison penalty will be the big problem....

Re: Why are all these stores closing nation wide, if the stock market is up and things are peachy?
Once upon a time we had very profitable companies making millionaires out of every day people. Those people took some of their profits and used it to buy and sell politicians. Soon they weren't making enough profit but had to continue buying and selling politicians so they moved their companies out of the states so they could keep their profit margin.

The government knew that this would hurt the economy but it encouraged the moves because it bolstered their pockets and took the power of money from other every day people.

Soon every day people were losing their jobs and not being able to pay for their houses. Many lost their houses and the media told every day people that is was because these people were living beyond their means.

Others lost their jobs and then their homes and many people went on food stamps. The government told these people that the only way they would be taken care of is if they gave their vote to the current government. So the people did.

Then the government created more rules and made it near impossible for people to start their own business. The government encouraged business outside of the states and discouraged business in the states.

The people had no money and stopped buying things. Stores closed all over the states. First small stores and then bigger ones. Soon the chains started closing their stores.

Landlords lost money as many stores pulled out on their leases. People lost jobs. Communities lost their mini malls, now empty spaces that became "parks" for the local teens.

Parents fearful of losing their homes worked two to three jobs at minimum wage not sleeping or watching their children.

Children grew up with TV and violent video games telling them how to behave and what to do.

Those that attended college found themselves in deep debt and no hope for any job as they were "over qualified".

Soon all were dependent on the government and the government claimed it was no longer going to support the people because no one was paying taxes. The poor didn't pay and the rich didn't pay and the middle class no longer existed.

The government opened camps, available to anyone that could no longer support themselves. These camps quickly filled up with homeless, jobless, hopeless people.

And they all lived unhappily ever after.

If people could remember past what they had for breakfast this morning, they might think back to 2008, when even before high frequency trading, many analysts were baffled why the Dow was climbing to new highs when economic signs seemed to be showing deterioration...

You're supposed to see that the DOW has reached 14,000 on your local news, see that your 401K or your IRA is doing okay, then go back to sleep...

The Stock Market is completely rigged. Unless you are in the "club", you will get hosed with stocks.

Nothing going on in the stock market is a reflection of reality in any form, shape, or fashion.

The Elites are piling up profits for themselves before they crash everything.

That is why the stock market is up like it is.

OK, I don't mean to sound anything like positive here, but could it be because of all the sales these brick and mortar stores are losing to their own internet sales? I never go to J.C. Penny stores or Sears, I order from them online now and have for years. Same with others.

It's cheaper to sell online (not that they would drop their Chinese Junk prices any for us "consumers").

All they need are warehouses and people to shove crap into boxes. Think of all the expenses they get rid of when they close a store and sell on the internet, the list is endless and the people that work for them can go to hell for all they care.

No doubt we're going down the shitter, but sometimes things are not ALL that they seem. I'd like to see some sales figures from these companies, not just how many brick and mortar stores they are closing and how many people they are laying off.

The stock market has been taken over by big brokerages using super fast computers doing high speed trading (HST). As I understand it, the brokerages are paid for the transactions, which might be a buy one minute and sell the next. So if their computers do a million transactions at a dime a piece, that amounts to a lot of money for spinning their wheels.

They are operating on a system of "borrowed" stocks and swaps. I am not explaining this well, but there is a second, invisible financial system operating that sucks real value out of the marketplace and is accessible to only the top tier, that is the banksters. The regulatory system that is supposed to keep the market operating legally is broken and impotent(does this sound familiar?).

I have a friend who is a market expert who is just jumping up and down, writing letters to the SEC, etc. I'll ask if she will make up a very simple explanation with no technical terms.

For me I guess it's okay it's a good trade for the times it's the only sector of the economy that has remained the same and grown a lot in recent years , the luxe houses and energy.
