When I was a kid, let's just say a long time ago now, there were lots of Nostradamus shows on T.V. convincing us that the world would end before 1984. And it really looked like it might happen! There was a lot of shit going down at the time! Iran took a heap of U.S. embassy workers hostage, the cold war was happening. Then, after 1984, it was the born again Christians, usually Jehovah's witnesses, saying that the end was nigh! I asked my dad back then & he said that there were 'end of the world is nigh' stories when HE was a kid in the Forties!! And guess what?!?! World war II was happening, so it looked serious! from what I understand, end is nigh was around in HIS fathers day & his fathers day & his.... & his....
