Could have been worse, they were talking about this just a couple of years ago:

Shocking new details of a stealth tax of up to £600 for householders with views of any kind, patios, conservatories and even a nearby bus stop are revealed for the first time today.

YOU LOT ARE TRULY FUCKING DUMB , bedroom tax is for the old white folk who live in a house , they are basically for4cing them to move so they can have the houses for immigrants

ARRRRRREEEEE YYOOOOUUUUUU FUUUUUUCCCKKKIINNNNG BLLLIIINNNNND !!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33808766

Probably. However, what you need to do is ask yourself a question.

How the fuck is a 70 year old person still living in a council house?

What the hell did they do with their lives for 50 odd years that meant they had nothing to show for it?

My grandparents and parents got fucking jobs and bought houses.

The immigrants are not really the problem, they are a symptom of a unsustainable culture of socialist entitlement.

They come here because we give everything away for free.

The difference in the past was the family supported everything, now the government supports everything, and the government wont say no so long as they can print money and influence votes.

Family wont give drug addict and aloholic money until they make the rest of the family homeless, but the government will just pay out for welfare programs until the money starts running out.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33792358

They worked for peanuts, sweeping your roads, cleaning public toilets. People who live in council houses more often than not, work for nothing. Minimum wage or should I call it maximun wage?

This is why they can never save or move on, pay a decent wage to ALL workers and perhaps they would be able to buy their own property. Pay them £200 per week and what do you expect?

Bankers and politicians fucked this country and now they want to blame someone. Who better than people who cannot defend themselves?

All workers working for minimum wage are basically working for the equivalent in benefits. They are working, but in reality they are on the dole, they just don't know it.

If all cleaners and retail workers etc etc stopped working the country would grind to a halt, so why is it these people are treated so badly, paid peanuts and called scroungers.

People need to open their eyes. Anyone agreeing that the poor should be made to suffer further are just ugly, greedy, selfish and probably lonely people.

What about the bankers who lie, cheat and steal. Or MP's that lie cheat and steal?

Tax avoidence etc. £20,000 lunches for politicians etc.

As for Cameroon and his bunch what qualitifcations or real jobs have they ever had? Are they self made millionaires
or did they inherit? (same as receiving benefits in my book).

This attack on the poor is going to hit hard working (minimum wage earners)young families and families with same sex children very hard. And you people think it is fair? And Right?

SHAME ON YOU ALL. I hope you are financially secure and your business never fails or you lose everything through a messy divorce!! Don't kick these people while they are down. Have a heart.

And no you are not paying for them, you are paying for bankers mistakes and the lavish lifesytles of the MP's etc.

Just like the poster "lump under the carpet". You can't make sense to them. Read her postings and you will see she thinks that the taxpayer is obligated to give non-working people a stable life with no say in it. This is what normal, honest, sane people are up against. And what the government is having to deal with.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1550123

I know, and I actually sympathize with the government in some regards as they have let this shit go on for 30 years pandering for votes. It is probably an unsolvable problem without hurting somebody.

Now they are all so scared of losing what power they have by forcing the change, so they simply wont do it, instead they just print print print until the economy collapses.

What the people rioting in the streets will fail to grasp and understand is those that enabled and encouraged it all will have fled before it all came crashing down. They will all burn down their own communities and destroy everything demanding the government bring it all back.

The people who will come to power on the back of this will be the sociopaths like hitler and stalin... and these idiots will vote them in thinking it will all go back to how it was with free handouts for everybody.

People who are judged to be “under occupying” their home by one bedroom will have their housing benefit slashed by 14 per cent. Where they are under occupying by two or more bedrooms the deduction is 25 per cent.

So I take it the 'House of Windsor' is about to be hit be a huge tax bill...

Her Majesty: ‘ I say Wilfred, I found one of our staff members lying in the halls with his bottom in the air. One almost tripped over him. What are our policies concerning drunkenness with the help?’

Butler: “His not staff Ma’am. We are cutting back on our taxes. He's a guest from Pakistan in room 53. ”

HM: ‘Yes, quite. Well could you at least lock up the Chimpanzee William brought home from Arfrika? It seems obsessed with the silver wear.'

Greece doesn't have handouts or the problems that come with them. People are taking care of themselves by getting room mates, moving in with family or moving out to the country to start back farming. They are still a proud people who would rather live in their cars until they get back on their feet.

I don't see much difference than how we're taxed in my little town. We get taxed more for additional bathrooms. I had a friend who added a little half-bath to her house. It was about the size of a closet and would have made her taxes go up. They never declared it, and removed it when they sold the house.

Hypothetically speaking. I don't care what people did in the past so long as it isn't a danger to myself, my employees or my business.

Some of the hardest working people i have met in my life came from troubled working class backgrounds.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33858950

As far as i understand.. not directly no as it wont affect everybody, but it may be direct for the people who rent from the council though, which is a shame.

Benefits claimants will essentially be getting a cut if they live in a property too big for them. The choice they have is move to a smaller property or pay for the privilege of having extra space.

Well i say pay, the only people who will be paying is taxpayers. Again.

Its just a shame that workers who have not yet got onto the property ladder because of too much credit will have to pay more for extra space.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33794302

It's not as drastic as OP is making out. Basically people in social housing, with more bedrooms than they use will be asked to pay up or relocate. They will be allowed to sublet the spare room to cover the tax if they choose to. I agree with OP's sentiment but this is not the spark we need.
 Quoting: NSF001

So basically people who are already getting cheap houses off the government and have spare rooms because thye are too selfish to move. Those denying people who need the houses and make them live in B and Bs, will pay for there selfishness

About time.

Well to be honest most of the people who claim benefits went to government funded ones, you don't see many people from Eton, Harrow etc claiming benefit . Not saying there isn't but if you want to throw that one out there be prepared to have it thrown back. I went to a comp. got an education, didn't go to Uni, but I've ended up in a better job than my parents and a better house, worked for it save d for it and t be honest I'm sick and fucking tired of paying towards 180 billion welfare bill

So fuck off
