Well his anger might be misdirected. But as other people in this thread have said. most people don't have issue with the welfare state existing to help people... a stepping stone to give them a helping hand.
What myself and other people in this thread are sick of is benefit hordes scrounging for their entire lives off of the welfare state and contributing nothing back.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33792358 I will explain the game once.
The only people that complain about the poor are the poor and working poor.
They whine that the other guy got more benefits, that the other guy stayed on benefits longer, that they are miserable "working their fingers to the bone" so they want company in their misery...so of course it should be the other miserable sod. They claim they are the only success story, or the only one worthy and that everyone else is a loser.
The wealthy don't have to do a thing other than run an article in a paper suggesting that poor people are worthless and deserving of less, and then poor run with it and eat each other alive and the cuts are made.
It's the way the game is run.
I cannot change it.
The poor will always hate the poor.
And yes, if you are hurt by the amount of taxes you are paying, then you are not financially comfortable and you are in fact working poor.
Sadly, I'm not making this up.
On an emotional level it makes me want to slam my head into a wall watching you people self harm into oblivion.
On an academic and professional level I applaud the effective psychology and strategy that gets you to play right into the trap.
You didn't really think your taxes would go down because the poor got less, did you?
