Re: uk bedroom tax,the road to riots
you fucking idiots in favour of this don't get it: not only are e.u. migrants taking our jobs, but they are going to take our homes, too. why? because the fucking government know that 4 migrants would be willing to share a bedroom, meaning each migrant will be paying the council more rent money! they will seize your neighbourhood and you will be forced to live in a high rise 1 bedroom flat!

the tories have introduced this policy in anticipation of the expected massive influx of romanian and bulgarian migrants soon to hit these shores.

wake up!

I don't think you are wrong. The government really could care less about any of us. Especially the welfare cases who are not working at all. What are they contributing? Nothing. And I am NOT talking about the truly disabled who can't work for any of y'all on here. I am talking about the real deadbeats.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1550123

I dont think the governments know exactly how to deal with it. Under the thumb of the FED and the world banks.

I think this has been inevitable since nixon ditched the gold standard in 71... i guess the real question now is how long this death rattle will last before it ends..

We could be looking at another decade of printing, tax hikes and inflation.

One thing i dont know is what is going to push the US over the edge.

Will the UK default and push the world over the edge, will one of the Eurozone countries finally default or will the US default first and take the entire world with it.

Either way its a house of cards and a storm is coming.

The only people i see getting butthurt about all this are those who know the jig is fucking up.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33792358

the only jig here is 'we've just decided you don't need that room(s) you've had for years, so we're going to charge you for them because our ineptitude means we blew all our funding?'

fuck them. they're going to reap the whirlwind.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33896098

What people need to understand here is that it is not social housing that is being bedroom taxed, it is benefits that are being taxed. If you are in social housing as I myself am, I am in a housing association house. If you claim no benefits, you can have many rooms and the tax man could not care less, it is the benefits that are being clawed back, you will loose 20% of your benefits per spare room you have. It s a poorest person tax.
But it will free up the housing for immigrants as people are herded around to avoid the lifeline tax.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33889925

There is a massive mixed bag of people on this forum, the ignorant and the intelligent, the blind and the seeing, the thick and the smart. What stands out most is the extreme of good caring people and the utter selfish and evil people.
They are all here together, it is a shame they have failed to build a brotherhood among themselves and a balanced community.
The evil and selfish outweigh the good unfortunately, but the result will reflect on the rest of their lives. Boy, are we in for some rough shit till death.

Oh yeah, it is coming. It still looks sort of calm on the surface but it is crazy underneath. I certainly wouldn't want to figure out how to deal with this mess that has been created. All I know is that people wouldn't be happy with what I would do. People in charge are always going to piss someone off. They can't win so they might as well go for it. I can see how foreign troops could be called in to deal with the mayhem. They wouldn't have any problem dealing with rioting people.

if you don't want to leave is there a way you can stay by getting a roommate if you don't want to pay the tax? i always had roommates and it wasn't a bad thing. and i know about having a hard time finding work but keep trying and keep as positive as you can. most of us are dealing with immigrants and countries outsourcing jobs. read up on the law of attraction(really study it) and start putting it to use. it does work.

Handwringing over the plight of immigrants who allowed their own country to become economically fucked. Now when they come to the UK people are supposed to just accept it?

The UK needs to ditch the EU before the damage to society becomes irreparable.

Are you Europeans or are you fucking British/Welsh/Scottish or Ulstermen?

If all else fails, then move over to Romania or Hungary or whatever and live like kings. There's always a silver lining :)

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1550123

No, TPTB are thinking in terms of dollars/Euros - as they always do.

They are thinking generationally. Although the next 20 years will see the UK become a stinking cesspool of poverty and unrest, as soon as the second and third generation of these eastern Europeans step up as productive members of society, then they'll be all for car loans and credit cards and mortgages - those little things which keep many as slaves to TPTB.

It might take four or five generations for Romania's peasantry in Romania to get to that level, so by relocating them to a developed and industrialised first world country like the UK, TPTB get to their goal a little quicker.

The more debt slaves the better.

i wouldn't be surprised to discover that 'tptb' are marxist agents under the guise of eastern european e.u. migrants who are silently subverting western european governments. nor would i be surprised to find that the soviet union 'collapsed' by design and the eastern blocs became pseudo-social democracies so that they could join the e.u. and start destroying the capitalist system from within.

anatoliy golitsyn soviet defector and author of the perestroika deception, predicted the very same things:

"'The Perestroika Deception' explains the devious secret intent behind the Leninist strategy which the 'former' Communists are pursuing under cover of fake 'reform' and 'progress towards democracy'. The ultimate
objective is Lenin's: replacement of nation states with collective regional governments as
building blocks of the 'New World Social Order' - World [Communist] Government."

"Polish and East German 'restructuring' should be particularly closely watched because of their relevance to the 'restructuring' of Western Europe."

in other words, east germany and poland [along with other east european blocs] were 'restructured' into pseudo-social democracies so they could converge with western europe by becoming members of the european union.

there could be droves of marxist agents from these 'former' commie states who are clandestinely restructuring our governments / institutions as we speak. the worst aspect is, they would be classed as EU citizens and therefore could cause as much internal strife as possible, and no one would suspect shit.

and for america...

'RESTRUCTURING' IN THE UNITED STATES

"The Soviets will do their utmost to persuade the new Administration to follow Reagan's
policy of embracing 'perestroika' and rapprochement with the Soviet Union. They will
intensify the efforts of Gorbachev and Sakharov to engage the American elite in
cooperation over the environment, space, disarmament and the joint 'solution' of
social, political, economic, environmental, military and international problems15.
Visits by Soviet scientists, politicians, intellectuals and cultural delegations
will be stepped up in order to put across to the Americans the ideas of 'restructuring'
and convergence. Likewise, more American scientists, intellectuals, opinion-formers,
politicians and religious groups will be invited to the USSR where they will be subjected
to persuasion on the advantages of 'restructuring' and convergence.
Soviet agents of influence in the United States will redouble their attempts to
act as catalysts in promoting 'restructuring' and convergence. They will initiate public
debates on security aimed at shattering the American consensus on the Soviet threat
and destabilising and 'restructuring' the US military-industrial complex. KGB agents
among Soviet 'dissidents' and cultural defectors will travel back and forth between the
United States and the USSR acting as bridge-builders in cultural and political convergence.
The whole political potential of the KGB-controlled political parties and socalled
'grassroots organisations' will be used to establish links with their genuine
counterparts in the United States and influence them towards 'restructuring'.
During their visits to the United States they will try to impress the Americans with the growing similarity of their system to the American system and to convince
them of the soundness of convergence as a means of avoiding nuclear war."

"Since then, I have submitted new Memoranda to the CIA and American policymakers in which I explained Soviet grand strategy and its strategic designs against the West, the essence of 'perestroika' (the final phase of the strategy), the new use of the Bloc's political and security potential for introducing new deceptive controlled 'democratic', 'nationalist' and 'non-Communist' structures in the Communist countries, and the deployment of the political and security potential of the renewed 'democratic' regimes for the execution of the strategic design against the West."

Re: uk bedroom tax,the road to riots
It's a shame for some of the people this will affect. My friend's mum has lived in her council house since the 1960s. She moved into the house when she got married and her kids were born in the house. I's the only home she's ever known. She's in her late 60s, her husband died a couple of years ago and the children left home a long time ago. When she signed her tenancy agreement she thought she'd be renting the house until she died.

There are people that abuse the system but not everyone does. To some people these are the only homes they've ever known and then this new policy becomes unfair. When the Tories began selling off council housing they should have re-invested the money in more social housing. Not everyone can buy and not everyone wants to. Fair rent for decent housing shouldn't be a luxury.

But if the house is too large for her she needs to move then and open up space for other families. Where are her children? They should be helping/taking care of her. Not the taxpayers unless she is truly incapable of taking care of herself. Then she should be moved to a retirement home if there is really no one to care for her.

my old nieghbour was clearly insane, left alone,a visit once a week from her niece, there is no help for all these people, the care homes give them antipsychotic knockout druds to keep them quiet all day,the ones who's job it is to decide these homes are decent send in thousands of reports saying about the terrible conditions, and are just buried and ignored.i tried to join voluntry work to help old ones left alone,ie walk pets, collect meds, cup of tea and gossip.they never even replied to me.

Meanwhile, the Royal Family own property that hasn't been fully occupied since the early 1800s. Massive bunch of hypocritical cunts.

Re: uk bedroom tax,the road to riots
do any of you believe TPTB just want class warfare? that is why they are letting immigrants into already stressed out countries?

That is an interesting take on it.
