The poor are likely just dealing with karma. They deserve it.

It took me a few years of being around the poor to finally get this. They are poor for a reason. Giving them money or other charity only enables them.

It is not giving Money, but helping them stand on their own two feet.

This world is ruled by a pyramid structure.

This downward pressure is what drives the lowest into abject poverty spiritually and physically.

The solution is to tear down the Pyramid.

However, no one wants to do that for fear of losing THEIR own place within the pyramid.

It is a shame the op is being so close minded.. from my life experience the first people to offer help in times of distress have always been those who can least afford it.

Every time someone with money does something bad, poor and low income people wish bad karma on them, thus adding to the poor rejects' negative karma.

Bad things then wishing bad leads to more bad. I stopped giving to charities long ago. It only takes one rotten apple to spoil the bunch and have you truly seen any on government assistance truly try to better themselves? They are ducking sheep and deserve to be trampled.

Consider it as a lake where people could get some fish...but somebody bought up the lake telling people it's now forbidden to fish in his lake.

So I may have fishing knowledge and equipment but the rich c-sucker (who bought up the whole lake to have monopol for the fish, "legally") won't let me fish there and I risk starving...this IS our current situation via an analogy.
