Anonymous Coward User ID: 13824638 United States 02/03/2013 05:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | RBOB gas; the price the distributors pay, has been going up all month. Think of it as the price minus state and fed tax and a few cents for distribution. I paid 2.99 10 days ago in Yakima WA it is now 3.19. 20 cents on the nose Phen. The current Refinery price is 3.05 so add around 70 cents tax and it will be 3.75 to 3.80 in about 2 weeks. With all that is going on in the Middle East the speculators could will bring it to 4.25 a gallon in just a Month. With the real infation rate over the last 4 years of 36 percent instead of the Feds supposed 7 percent over the last 4; expect to pay the same price at 105 a barrel than the past when it was 140 a barrel. Don't you love the way inflation does not count the cost of gasoline and food as part of the inflation index? No wonder more and more sheep are awakening. |

I know the negroid is responsible for many things, this isn't one of them. Obama's EPA is responsible for refineries closing down. So yeah, this is on Obama, especially since everyone blamed Bush for $4 prices that fell to $1.87 by the time he left office. Author, inventor, disorganizer. ProNerd User ID: 13856469 United States 02/03/2013 06:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I paid $3.94/gal for gas Friday. I got $14.00 worth. I had to drive over 50 miles and the higher octane gives me better mileage, unless I put some octane booster in the tanks. that cheap shit will not get me that far for as long. Quoting: hawk8414 Looks like I'm gonna stock up on some 70% rubbing alcohol to put in the tank once in awhile. It takes out the water in the gas and gives you better gas mileage. You do realize the other 30% is water! Your rubber based fuel components HATE alcohol, don't do it. Spend your money on something like Fuel Medic™, or something that actually stabilizes the fuel and stops the ethanol from turning into a simple sugar, this is what kills the octane. I deal with this daily and boy am I SICK of it. |

Blow That Whistle Baby User ID: 1510193 United States 02/03/2013 07:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Phen, it's been going up here for about 2 weeks now. Usually, it's been 10-12 cents a gal. every day. Two days ago, it jumped 15 cents in less than a day. Something's up. West Texas, here, home of the oil wells. Quoting: Texan Buckeye 2 weeks ago we were at 3.49 at this one sunoco then 3.55 most stations locally jumped from 3.55 to 3.65 I was getting gas like everyday to every other day of the week almost lol, I seen it was like 4, 6, 13 4 increase when I pumped plus. Getting bad =/ “One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.” |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 33034699 United States 02/03/2013 07:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | peak oil bitches, whether you believe it or not doesn't stop it being true! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33582534 This is true You are both wrong as the price of oil has "nothing" to do with supply. That would indicate that the price discovery mechanism is being utilized and working. I have information for you, it is not ! What have you been smokin Brah ? Oil is priced in paper not real oil. Look at these "MASSIVE" discoveries in every country around the world. (explain them away) These are just a few of hunders in the last year.
