Nothing with brainpower, whites and blacks have the same brain power, I can assure you for that.

I think it's because of the weather,the climate in general. For example, for people in Europe it was easier to produce food, thus more time to get their minds in evolving a better civilization. Competition played great part too, but it's not part of our subject.

On the other hand, it was harder for Africans to survive, for example reciding in one place and become farmers (stop being nomads) because of the land, high temparatures and the limited amount of water.

Egyptians had a great civilization because of Nile, and because of Nile they could start farming, they had water and solve their surviving problem. In the end they could form culture, language etc. etc.



So, yay for climate!

Necessity is the mother of invention. There is no difference in brain power but when you live in the sun you don't need to invent ways to avoid the cold.

When you have fpour distinct seasons you need to prepare for long periods without plant growth.

Naturally, it is all about environment.

Kids are tested as early as age 5 to determine placement in gifted programs in schools. I was tested at 6 and have had 4 tests since then (over 36 years)

Matter of fact, there was a time that Civilizations in Africa were far superior to civilizations in Europe.

#1. Europeans did not "discover" any place. Africans already had mastered water travel well before Europe. The difference is that Africans did not claim foreign lands or commit genocides.
