How the first three letters of Assad's last name so clearly tell so much about the man and his character (or lack of it.) He truly is an "Ass" in every way imaginable.

Surely there must be some way to destabilize his rule and get him out of there? But then he must be replaced with something? The question is with whom or with what? Personally I think the US and the UK should seize Syria and the other involved nations who are hell bent on Israeli destruction and make them a US protectorate - charging them hefty administrative fees as a VAT tax on everything that goes in/out of their county and on anything other than food and medicine that is sold within their countries. Heaven help us trying to manage such a bunch of angry Muslims, but in a generation or two we could begin to reeducate the children and teach them that not being hell-bent on the destruction of the west was a good and kind thing to do. Who knows? With enough missionaries in the country, maybe we could manage to convert half of them, or more to Christianity.

Aware of the disaster wrought by NATO "humanitarian" operations in Yugoslavia and Libya, the Syrians refuse to be drawn into a sectarian ambush. A process of reform and development is on track, but it will not be dictated from abroad. In Syria, one may object to the president, but not to national sovereignty.
