I know this will fall on deaf ears, but I gotta say. It's apparent that the division between democrats and republicans is what they want. I live in a multi-generational household, half are democrats and half are republicans. We all value our guns, it keeps us safe. We hunt with them, and seeing as how we live in the country, it's protected us and our animals many times from a stray viscous dog. One thing that makes my household so wonderfully able to live together in a peace that should be impossible considering we all have different views is that we all agree on a few common factors. We always look for the good in each other. Our dinner table discussions are civil and at the end of the night we all love each other unconditionally. I love my atheist friends, regardless of how often we disagree on religious ideas. One thing that we absolutely never do here, is we don't blame each other. Maybe it's because of my loving home that I find it so difficult to read threads bashing any group of people, because so many of the people I love could fit into either or category.

The republicans today are about as similar to the republicans then as I am to a sack of potatoes. Republicans today hate black people, hate other minorities if they have a different lifestyle and have no desire to progress humanity in any way.

Democrats were the Klan members too,in the 20s republicans introduced anti lynching laws and the dems voted em down.Republicans amended the constitution ending slavery and gave blacks citizenship. Martin Luther King was a republican,so was Frederick Douglas and Harriet Tubman. Blacks switched parties in droves when the dems introduced welfare to the system.Look it up.
