The Republican Party is composed of grass-roots individuals who basically want to be left alone, and do not want to be forced to march in gay pride parades, or pay for sluts' abortions, or be disarmed in the face of Democrat stormtroopers and paroled felons. It also has people at the top who want to rule, and hence get along with members of the Democrat Party.
