| Anonymous Coward User ID: 33543798 02/04/2013 10:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry but Israeli jets frequently violate Lebanon's airspace. It's hardly news...even if Doorknob wants to say a war is happening soon. How can a sovereign country tolerate its airspace being violated frequently? How can a sovereign country tolerate a military strike inside it's country? Without retaliation each time. Only reports to UN, sometimes, which are filed away in the 10's of thousands of other reports against Israel. Ponder that for a moment and think for a second how Israel, UK, France or the US would react if it was the other way around. Maybe they're just trying to provoke a retaliation, which they would spin as a first strike of course. |

Whoever does it, better hit the "ejection seat" button quickly. So WHY is it that Israel can get away with it, including other countries? ![]() What we're seeing is nothing but showbiz for the monkeys. Its bully tactics, if they retaliate they get hammered and every now and then Israel is free to strike and get told of but this time no one told them off just Russia Iran and various proxies all to bait them.... thats what I call dirty a war Anderson_G Always expect the unexpected and beware of nasty things pretending to be nice. |

Quoting: Ger_reG seems like it's a calm day until now..looks like Israeli jets flying over Lebanon is a normal thing now The most frequent breaches are overflights by Israeli war planes and drones; such violations have occurred since the inception of the Israeli–Lebanese conflict, and have happened continuously and almost daily since the 2006 Lebanon war, being the source of much conflict between Lebanon and Israel.[4] Israeli warplanes sometimes stage mock attacks on Lebanese cities, and emit sonic booms that frighten civilians.[5][6] In 2007 the Lebanese government complained that Israeli planes had flown into Lebanese airspace 290 times within four months, and that Israeli troops had crossed the border 52 times.[7] In 2006 French Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie stated: "I remind that the violations of the airspace are extremely dangerous, they are dangerous first because they may be felt as hostile by forces of the coalition that could be brought to retaliate in cases of self defense and it would be a very serious incident."[8] US officials on visit in Israel also demanded that Israel stop the overflights since they undermined the standing of Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.[9] The Blue Line covers the Lebanese-Israeli border; an extension covers the Lebanese-Golan Heights border. The UN has continuously protested the repeated Israeli overflights.[10][11] Lebanese officials fear the escalation in overflights heighten tensions and could lead to war.[12][13] [link to en.wikipedia.org] If you pay attention, you can hear of a violation almost weekly, at least bi-weekly. |

Thank you for mentioning that. But against the backdrop of what is happening in Syria its being picked up more in the media. DefenceToday.com [link to twitter.com (secure)] |

As one who's been following the Israeli airspace violations for years now, you must keep in mind it would happen once every few weeks... These violations of airspace have been constant now for over a week. They haven't violated Lebanon's airspace like this in a long time. Until we know DOOM is off, it's worth reporting on these violations IMO. |
