Status of the gun industry.....
[link to directorblue.blogspot.com]

RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days.

FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1. Remington-Maxed out!

Armalite: Maxed out.

DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product.

COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by Bolt carrier's.

LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels.

Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind.

AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line.

More than anything, this speaks to me as the great failure of the gun-grabbers. Their efforts to chip at our gun rights and remove these so-called assault weapons from our possession let loose a flood of them into civilian hands. I think it's clear that the people have spoken.

This "report" keeps getting kicked around the web... been going for a few weeks now.

By the way, 1 Bil a week in ammo is not realistic. When this first came out, people in the know laughed.

The US creates 36% of the small arms ammo in the world. The world produces 14 bil rounds of ammo a year.

I was at a gun store in Albany, Oregon this weekend. They had .22 for double the price. They had most everything, except extra mags.

AR platforms were starting at $1600 (and up) a pop.

We saw backroom deals like this in Chicago all the time.
This is corporate communism, crank up production and profits until we shut you down, win-win. Gov't will commit to buying production after that(a pittance $ to feds).
Whatever you do don't have inventory(retail level) because you'll be stuck with it after the complete ban.

We will never disarm. We will never surrender our military pattern, semi-automatic rifles and the full capacity magazines, parts, and ammunition that go with them. Thefundamental purpose of the Second Amendment is to preserve the military power of We the People so we will have effective means to resist tyranny. Regardless of what unholy, unconstitutional filth issues from the mouths of oath breakers in "Mordor on the Potomac" our answer is MOLON LABE.

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force: Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined."- Patrick Henry

We will not allow our children to be disarmed.

We will pass on those military pattern rifles, magazines, and ammunition to our children and our children's children.

Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American... [T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people. - Tench Coxe, 1788

Good information OP, albeit bad. Prior to December I fired approximately 1000 rounds per month in pistol and long range rifle. I am glad I practiced so much because I do not want to waste a single round now that almost all supplies have dried up and the cost has tripled. Forget reloading, I have been out of primers for the last 3 months.

Word to the wise. Practice repetitive movements (drawing, sight alignment trigger control) and dry fire only until this thing shakes out. You may need those skills and the ammo you currently have left.

But by your logic, we should ban cars, buckets, hammers, and donuts. After all, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try.

"But this is Obama’s fearmongering: never let a good crisis go to waste. Utilizing our fears to achieve step-by-step deprivation of American rights – deprivations that make us no safer – is Obama’s plan. And he must exploit emotion to the hilt in order to achieve that plan. So he does.

This is not adult conversation. It is childish posturing. As Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) put it, “the piling on by the political left, and their cohorts in the media, to use the massacre of little children to advance a pre-existing political agenda that would not have saved those children, disgusts me, personally.”

But the media loves this nonsense.

So Obama will continue to preach from atop the graves in Newtown. He, along with his media lackeys, will continue to draw a false dichotomy between caring Democrats and uncaring Republicans, even as Obama leaves children just as unprotected as before and invades the rights of 300 million Americans". Stag is over 1 year behind.

That is bad because they are an extension of Continental Machine Tool and they make parts for damn near everybody.... Rock River Arms, High Standard, Noveske (old), Century (current), Global Tactical, CLE, S&W, MGI (1st batch), Wilson Tactical, (some?) Colt, Ratworx

Palmetto seems to be keeping up every once in a while but running a couple months behind, they switched to LW Schneider from Aero Precision last year I think.

The detent holes are no longer threaded and they went from a low shelf to a high shelf...

[link to www.lwschneider.com]

They are backed up 3 mos....

Aero Precision is backed up a year, they are the better manufacture and make stuff for Spikes Tactical and others...

[link to aeroprecisionusa.com]

Spikes Tactical is 1 year behind on orders....

To many Others to list like LAR that make DPMS and Bushmaster.....

MEGA....

They are all so friggen backed up it wont be back to normal for a year I'm afraid.

lets not even talk about ammo....because that situation is even more fkd.
