Inflation or gouging?
Inflation or gouging? It plays out as inflation either way to my way of thinking.

Golden Rule - the independent arm of United Healthcare - a family of two was paying around $600 per month for self insured with a $5,000 deductible per person. Now, they are telling us that this year it is $730 per month with same deductible! About a 27% increase in one year! Of course, the auditors/actuaries of Ohio approved the increase.

Parents Anthem Blue Cross, Medicare supplement plan premium just went from $29 a month last year to $55!

Gasoline jumped 35 cents in one day. Local electric company asking for a PUCO approval of a rate hike. Local county wants a big water and sewage hike.

Northern toilet paper. A few years back you would get 352 (2 ply) sheets per roll, then it when down to 325, then 270, and was at 242 sheets per roll for over a year now. A few days ago, I see new labeling on the product at Target. It appears the new rolls now are down to 190 sheets per roll. Keep in mind, that the price is not lower. You used to be able to get a 12 roll pack on special for $5.50. Now, you are lucky to find a price of 6.00 on special, while the regular price hovers around $6.99 or $7.99 dependent on the store. You do the math, it ain't pretty. 352 down to 190 and the price

Mostly inflation but some businessmen will use any excuse.
