look bottom line this guy has no history of hating his kids or hating his life. he has no motive for this, it was apparently out-of-the-blue and very unlike his character.

piece this together with him being a 50+ yr old man suffering through this fucked up system and we can assume he has seen a lot. possibly too much for comfort in some people's eyes. it is those same people who DO have a motive for wanting him dead.
