1) Learn stuff.
2) Think a lot, a lot, and abstractedly.
3) Profit.
4) Get naked and have a party. Alone. To fully revel in the acuity sensation brought on by shear genius.
5) Rinse and repeat.

Considering what you just posted, I think you're already on the right track.

Keep raising your scientific literacy, even if all you're doing is reading science blogs etc for pleasure.

Never let a term you don't know go undefined, always look it up.
A large part of the difficulty in crazy shit like quantum shenanigans is terminology and I'm willing to bet you know a lot more than you think, you just need to expand your scientific vocabulary.

If you know what all those specialized terms mean, all the other shit around them makes a hella lot more sense.

Don't worry about the math or equations, unless you are really determined to get into it.

I always say that's the reason we have scientists, so they can crunch the numbers while we reap the rewards of reading the fun stuff.

But yeah, I think from reading your post and seeing that desire to raise yourself up... you're gonna be fine.

Be careful what you wish for. In the dumbed down world we live in today intelligence is a burden.

"Learning stuff" is not going to help with IQ, because all that is is rote memorization. A book is also full of that kind of saved data, but the book on it's own is just a lump of dead tree!

Oh, and as they said, think, contemplate, form mental connections, ponder some more, make your brain develop new neural pathways thereby increasing your "IQ" (which is an invalid stat anyway, according to the official types)

Learn new skills and techniques.

Learn to drive a standard.

Learn to play as many instruments as you can.

Learn how to throw a curveball.

Learn how to stir fry in the traditional method.

Learn basic carpentry.

Learn a foreign language.

etc

With every new technique you learn, you are burning new pathways into your brain.

Oh yea, apparently breaking your daily routine and adding randomness apparently is also good, as it forces your brain to rise out to deal with the situations, instead of sleepingly trudging through the routine, thereby training it.

You could try one of those brain training game things too I guess, no experience with those myself so dunno how useful they are

Eating things won't change the structure of your brain, which is what needs to be changed, and that happens as explained above, among other things.

Well, you can cause your brain to unravel and bbq itself from the inside out, perhaps, but that's not going to help!
