Considering what you just posted, I think you're already on the right track. Keep raising your scientific literacy, even if all you're doing is reading science blogs etc for pleasure. Never let a term you don't know go undefined, always look it up. A large part of the difficulty in crazy shit like quantum shenanigans is terminology and I'm willing to bet you know a lot more than you think, you just need to expand your scientific vocabulary. If you know what all those specialized terms mean, all the other shit around them makes a hella lot more sense. Don't worry about the math or equations, unless you are really determined to get into it. I always say that's the reason we have scientists, so they can crunch the numbers while we reap the rewards of reading the fun stuff. But yeah, I think from reading your post and seeing that desire to raise yourself up... you're gonna be fine. 'Magically Delicious' |

Learn a foreign language. etc With every new technique you learn, you are burning new pathways into your brain. Well, you can cause your brain to unravel and bbq itself from the inside out, perhaps, but that's not going to help! |

"A truth's initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker, a raving lunatic." -Dresden James "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed, and third, it is accepted as self-evident." -Arthur Schopenhauer |
