Chinese Warship 'Locked On' A Japanese Naval Vessel In The East China Sea
In the latest face-off between China and Japan, news today from Reuters says a Chinese warship pointed its missile guidance system at a nearby Japanese ship in an unmistakable show of aggression.

The incident is particularly concerning because the type of radar used on the Japanese ship is the first indicator used to repel an attack. If the Japanese captain had showed less restraint a counter launch might have ensued producing untold consequences.

Japan protest over China ship's radar action

A Chinese vessel has locked its weapon-targeting radar on a Japanese ship, Tokyo says, amid mounting tensions over a territorial row.

Japanese Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera said the incident happened on 30 January near islands claimed by both nations in the East China Sea.

So not just any old Japanese ship then... Well what kinda Japanese ship then? Does the article say? Nope I read it.

Well it does say 'Chinese warship'- (Aggressive), but then just says 'Japanese ship'-(Non-Aggressive).

Is this a true story, what's missing that is clearly not being told.

The ships involved on both sides are coast guard ships. But Chinese "coast guard" ships are heavily-armed former naval warships. Japanese coast guard ships are just coast guard ships.

And then the Chinese vessel radioed the Japanese vessel with the message "This is a stickup! Give us all of your fish and no one has to die!"

comparing the chinese airforce/navy and the japanese airforce/navy i'd bet on japan. china won't dare use nukes, so in a purely conventional war with japan on the defensive, china will take massive losses and obtain few gains. this is assuming the US stays out of the situation. if we step in, game over china.

That is assuming that everyone stays rational. We may be entering times where nations have lesss and less to lose and rational thinking takes a turn for the lunatic.

OFC assuming everyone stays rational!

Any scenario when everyone is NOT rational have only ONE conclusion : we all die in nuclear war.

So, you, and everyone else like you, STOP using an end-game scenario when arguing on a war related issue.Talk about NORMAL variation os a conflict, don't go like an idiot asap to "nukes" scenarios.

You didn't say "nukes", but implied so.
