Anyone with a brain can tear apart every argument that the Christian lays on you.
They say that the Old Testament and New Testament are two different books BUT they tell you that God and Jesus are one. How can this be? Either Jesus is one God and God is another God or they are both the same. If they are the same, then God (who kills infants and animals) is the same character as the Jesus character. You can't have it both ways.
They tell you that you are mistranslating the Bible when (in the case of this thread) the only thing you are really doing is quoting DIRECT Bible verses. They see that the Yahweh character is evil. They know this...BUT they have to make up excuses for him. So they hit ya with the old, "You are translating those verses the wrong way." NO RETARD, I am simply printing the Bible verses verbatim into a thread. I am not translating anything incorrectly. Go read your Bible, you stupid sheep.
They tell you that God is love BUT they say he is a God of revenge. How can this be? If God is love, then you would not have him killing a baby to punish his father. Again, read the Bible, you stupid fool. David committed a sin with Bathsheba and God killed his son, a slow and painful seven day death for a baby. David performed a census. God didn't want him to do it so he killed 70,000 INNOCENT people. Some youths made fun of a prophet's bald head, their only sin. God sent two bears out of the woods to kill the 42 kids. This is not a GOOD character. Again, read your stupid Bible.
Ever notice how blood sacrifice is the entire theme of the Bible? Ever notice how God required a perfect animal to be sacrificed to him? Ever read the story of Jepthath who sacrificed his own daughter on a altar to God? Ever wonder why this daughter HAD to be a virgin? Ever notice how the old pagan religions always had human sacrifices of children to their Gods? Ever notice how paganism is the very foundation of the Bible?
If you never even read the damned Bible, you will think it is a wonderful book, filled with wonderful insights. IF you actually READ the fucked up book, you will become an atheist. You will realize you have been conned. But because most Christians are basically lazy, and want to have their ears tickled by pastors who tell them, "GOD LOVES YOU," you won't find too many out there actually reading the book.
So, for people like me, I am put on ignore. Or someone may come back and insult me and I will laugh as usual. Christians are the biggest cowards on the planet. They KNOW, without a doubt, that their religion is fucked up. But because they are weak, fear-filled, creatures of habit, they hang on until the day they die. And then they die, and that is the end. So sad, you wonder why they refuse to grow up?

I ask this, not to cause an argument, but out of genuine curiousity. I understand that as a kid I believed in Santa. I really thought he was out there on one special night, and I thought he would have no problem delivering gifts to every kid in the world. I didn't even think about the fact that one man in a sled could never be capable of this, but then I was a kid. I believed in magic. I thought Santa could see me and hear me, and if I was bad, I thought I would receive a lump of coal. I thought elves and flying reindeer existed. But then I GREW UP? Why can't they see the obvious? Why? The fear. That's why. It has them locked in. They WILL NOT admit it but it is the fear. I know. I was a Christian for 18 years. I didn't want to admit it either. I didn't want to face the hard questions. I didn't want to truly investigate the things that all those "heathens" were throwing at me. All you will eventually get when they run out of excuses is "Well, who can know the mind of god?" and "God works in mysterious ways." amen brother...I was a pastor/teacher for almost 30 years...and I can tell you ABSOLUTELY that it is fear. mind numbing terror of going to hell if you lose faith. it is the strongest form of brainwashing. it will make you believe anything the religious authorities tell you...and no matter how illogical or absurd it is, you will defend it to the death. There is no point in arguing with the Christians...they must see these things on their own...like I finally did....but it is a long painful road out of the brainwashing.
