There is a difference between first amendment rights and common sense and respect.

And if you don't like the court system, what exactly are you wanting in the US? The court system has always has this sort of protocol and it is common knowledge that you behave a certain way in court in front of a judge.

The girl didn't damage anyones property or hurt any other human in any way. Nobody was worse off from anything she did.

I think the girl has the right under the constitution to express her opinion. Having been charged falsely with contempt of court where no courtroom procedure was under way and I was simply reporting a crime by police officer to a justice of the peace who happen to be her friend and it is rumored lesbian lover, I have personal experience with power drunk judges and corruption in the criminal justice system.

The question is did the girl show contempt of court, or the judge, and is it the same thing? DEFINITELY NOT! The court is an institution, the judge is an individual. The first amendment is quite clear in it's wording and she is entitled to express her opinion of the JUDGE HIMSELF.

Contempt of court is refusal to comply with a legal court order, a court the judge is simply an officer of, not expression of personal opinions of individual judges. It's a fine line, had the judge ordered the woman to remain silent because she was disrupting the proceedings, it could be construed as contempt of court, but SHE MUST BE GIVEN A WARNING in all jurisdictions in the United States.

When Mrs. Mc MIllian told me I was in contempt of court, I answered back with I have no contempt for the institution of the court or the legitimate legal process, my contempt is directed towards you directly.
Sh had me arrested, by the same officer I made the complaint of stalking and harassment against.

Apparently she was schooled on what contempt of court was, came in the next morning to arraign me (the same judge) and told me I would be released on time served if I plead guilty to disorderly conduct, which I was not guilty of. I had been warned by jailors and knew this persons reputation to go ahead and plead guilty or she would hold me without bail and my trial could be up to two years away.

This is CRIMINAL justice in Texas, and it is aptly named. My hat is off to anyone with the guts to show their contempt for it, and I know my opinion is not the majority here but then most of you have not experienced the injustices at the hands of the justice system this indian has.

What is wrong with saying adios? The judge himself told her goodbye in quite an arrogant way, I can't believe he has the right to call her back after he's already told her to live and up her fine.

The judge should not have fined her for saying Adios. She should get a lawyer and do something about that. This lead to everybody losing their temper.

Another thing. If she was arrested while drunk or high, it is the system's responsibility to make sure she is sober before the judge. If they failed in this responsibility, a lawyer can address this in court.

Yes, I have many times argued that taking a person with a low socioeconomic status and forcing them to pay fines and probation fees and every kind of fee you can think of results in a vicious circle of crime. it leaves the victim with no choice but to engage in criminal activity or go back to jail. It is ALL ABOUT MONEY.

The "justice' system in the United States is designed to create offenders and revenue. Instead of helping people with problems they intentionally make their situation worst.

We have to ask ourselves liberal , conservative or libertarian, does this make good sense? When a prosecutor knows a defendant is innocent and holds back evidence from the defense and the grand jury in a criminal case, he is protected by a law known as the "absolute immunity clause". The same goes for a judge that intentionally creates a biased courtroom enviroment. These people should be charged with felony crimes agaisnt the people under the Constitution and disbarred from any further involvement in the criminal justice system.

This is why the United states has more people in prison than any other nation in the world, and it is estimated that >15% are completely innocent of any wrongdoing and with another 60% the best interests of the community could be served better by other procedures other than incarceration (which actually does no good and cost us the taxpayers billions of dollars) such as mandatory rehabilitation programs or mental health services in the case of drug offenses or where mental issues caused the offenders to commit a crime. For instance it is estimated by the US Justice Department and conveniently ignored that 95% or more of all sex offenders incarcerated in the United States (rapists, child molesters etc) were victims themselves of the same crime they committed and in nearly every case the perp went unpunished. I am not saying they should go unpunished, but the key is not in punishment but in breaking the cycle of abuse using common sense approaches, not schooling them in prison on how to get away with it. Many of you would say a bullet to head would be appropriate and I at one time believed that myself, but then you would in nearly every case be guilty of killing a victim of the same crime you want to kill the person for.

Prisons are colleges for learning how to be better criminals, and invariably create far more hardened individuals than when they entered the system, who are for the most part eventually released and know nothing but criminal ways of surviving. Everything should be done possible to keep offenders out of prisons because the end result of prison incarceration is a far worst danger to society who is nearly sure to re-offend.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why I should have to answer to a judge who is a foreigner? He can't even speak English without an accent. How long has he been here? Does he know our laws? That is disturbing. Not only that, he is punishing her because society says that she can't even put something in her body. Enforce the law but don't be such a baby about it You know this judge is a perv too. Look at the way he gets off on teaching this bad girl a lesson.

I didn't think she was that rude. She almost seemed like she was flirting with him. When he said bye all she said was adios. It wasn't even mouthy. She had been kind of disrespectful by laughing but it's not like she came right out and said F.U. I even heard her say a sir I think. She only flipped him off at the end after he was a prick.
