For Catholics, the song, "We are one body, body in Christ" during communion could have a deeply moving effect.

Your liver will quiver, your knees will freeze.

Almost entering a trance like state.

By the way, Sun-day is not Yah's appointed sabbath.

Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Jesus and Pentecost:

In Acts 1, just before the resurrected Jesus is taken up into heaven, he tells the disciples about the Father's promised gift of the Holy Spirit, which will soon be given to them in the form of a powerful baptism. He tells them to wait in Jerusalem until they receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, which will empower them to go out into the world and be his witnesses.

A few days later, on the Day of Pentecost, the disciples are all together when the sound of a mighty wind comes down from heaven, with tongues of fire resting on them. The Bible says, "All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." The crowds observed this event and heard them speaking in different languages. They were amazed and thought the disciples were drunk on wine. Then Peter got up and preached the Good News of the kingdom and 3000 people accepted

People MISQUOTE these verses more than any other in scripture. NOTICE the verses do NOT say there was a service of full of confusion and dysfunction. They languages (or tongues) that they spoke were DIFFERENT LANGUAGES that all the people gathered there that day UNDERSTOOD in their own language! It does not say they were babbling confusion and words not understandable. Also, notice people were CONVERTED due to the service of hearing the message IN THEIR OWN TONGUES! It wasn't a praise service, it was a MESSAGE that was preached to CONVERT people to the truth! Don't confuse the Holy Spirit's working with confusion and "praise", or dancing around, or babbling. It's not the same thing!

" Pastor let it go the whole Church went up front 2 hours of Praise, Pastor did not even give a message"

Op, can you please elaborate on this?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21978477

We started to sing and The Holy Spirit filled the music, I got goose bumps and started crying, not just me but many, then people got on their knees and started praying, then Worship team kept playing, then a lady gave a beautiful prolific word, this went on for over an hour and Pastor came up and said Holy Spirit moving lets just keep going . So we sang for long time and the Pastor ask if anyone needed prayer or healing , everyone got up in the end went to front and prayedsmile_hear Just Wow is all I can say

To be part of that I felt very Blessed so tired of Churches having planned programs and not allowing this

I'm no longer a christian, but I think I was for most of my life. I do admit that christian music still gives me chills and I love to listen to it also.

However, I still say that the music is designed to bring an emotional response. It's used for manipulation in many cases if not all.

In some ways I wish the message was one of truth. But my experiences say differently.

I've been treated horribly by my own family who claim to love jesus......but don't have a clue what "love" actually means.

Before any of you jump on me because of my lack of faith. I'll share that for 25 years I was a 'pastor's wife. Married to a man who finished his studies for a Thd in bible. This man treated me like a dog turd on his shoe. His final attempt to be a grieving widower as he planned my death via poison was not successful.

I lost everything that I had invested in for over 30 years. I was thrown out onto the street, as christians watched and defended him.

I prayed, oh...how I prayed for god to intervene and protect me from this disaster, but received no response. Buckets of tears and no answer from heaven.

I began to question what I believed and why. No one loses their 'religion'. It must be deprogrammed one step at a time.

I've learned that people are not born wicked, and the good people of this world will be good whether they claim to be christian or not. Good men will do good things, wicked men will do wickedly, BUT IT REQUIRES RELIGION FOR GOOD MEN TO DO WICKED THINGS.

If there is a god in heaven, this god does not intervene in man's problems. This god never intended that mankind be involved with worshipping anything or anyone. You CAN love your neighbor as yourself without belonging to any church or believing any dogma.

The only hell is the one created by religion and those who doggedly adhere to it.

There, I've said it. Was it plain enough for even you to understand?

There is one time the Sabbath is mentioned after Paul began to focus on the Gentiles, “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” (Colossians 2:16–17). The Jewish Sabbath was abolished at the cross where Christ “canceled the written code, with its regulations” (Colossians 2:14).

You raise many valid points. Please allow me to respond.

The trouble begins with the majority of "Christians" having no clue what it means to be saved. It's supposed to be a relationship, a reconciliation with God, by putting trust in the Jesus who rose from the dead. The whole New Testament is all about that simple truth and the kind of life that must grow from it.

Jesus said he'd be there "where two or three gather", not where there's a clergyman and sanctuary. He said we'd worship God in spirit and truth, not in sacred buildings run by priests and control freaks.

But Jesus also said there is a price to follow him, because the present world belongs to Satan. He promised to go through it with us, not take us out, until that great day when he ends the church age before the wrath of God wreaks vengeance on all who do evil--- including those fake "Christians" that mistreated you. They will be held to account!

I agree totally that religion allows people to do evil and call it good, and that practically all "worship services" of all denominations are designed, knowingly or not, to manipulate emotions and make people suggestible. I've spent many decades fighting against this fake church.

I have paid dearly for standing on principle, for opposing those who teach oppression, for studying scripture myself rather than passing responsibility to self-proclaimed experts and authorities. I won't go near a "Christian" message board due to horrible treatment for opposing one thing or another; it's never the same cause though I've been in dozens of them. I also don't "go to church" but live a quiet life of personal study, while going out to the virtual streets of the internet to do what I can.

There is much more to say, but my hope is that you'll give Jesus-- NOT Christendumb-- another chance. hf

Was my first time to be a part of something like that, wish the world could feel what it feels like
 Quoting: Goofy for God

The human imagination can be very powerful especially among like-minded individuals empowering and enabling such feelings/sightings among each other. Just as Native Americans and Shaman of other tribes/groups would induce a trance phase over their people to make them think certain things had happened or were happening. If a sermon was not even given, some might would assume it was more the work of something Shaytanic, as even the Angels listen and recite the word. What other deity would benefit from 2+ hours of gibberish, flailing and mass spiritualistic masturbation in replacement of the true glorification of God by recitation, repentance or humble acts. Did any of the phonies in wheelchairs get up dancing and air-humping like these events/"revivals" are famous for?

You are right! If you are a christian, keep on sinning because "the Law was nailed to the cross". If you are an Israelite which is the Faith written of in the Bible, then you are to keep all of His laws, statutes and commands.

Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

Freedom from the law (that Gentiles were never under in the first place) does NOT mean a license to sin; Paul makes that abundantly clear. We DIED to both the law and to sin.

We all (Biblically Educated) know Paul was not only a pathological liar, a fabricator, a drunkard and at any rate he was not a true apostle and gave no Divinely verifiable true scripture; even mainstream educated Christian scholars speak the same truth of him. He was a fool or an agent of confusion, misinformation and hypocrisy. He even twisted laws and commandments to his on fittings by attempting to make the forbidden pure and forced the word of Isa/Jesus(Alayhi Sallam).

AMEN you are EXACTLY right!! People worshipping on Sunday are bowing to a command of the catholic church and NOT following scripture!

 Quoting: Adventus Domini

...These are a shadow of things to come.. For those that make it to the new kingdom, we will be keeping the laws statutes and commandments of YHWH, so why would Yah say, "hey run free and do what you want" until I come again?

Before I go any further, are YOU speaking in tongues, healing the sick, casting out devils?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5786799

Yes! Everything in the Old Testament points to Christ. These are a SHADOW of things that WERE to come. Read Colossians 2 in entirity.

As for the rest -- that's none of your business.
 Quoting: Adventus Domini

Well all I can say, is I keep the commandments, the 7th day sabbath, spoken in tongues, casted out devils, healed the sick all in the name of Jesus just like the bible says.

The christian church says that don't happen any more...HA.... well, I guess somebody is lying and deceiving the people and it ain't the bible.

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

What is the evidence that it was the HOLY Spirit and not an UNCLEAN spirit? Besides people 'feeling good' and waving their arms, or laughing, or...

It sounds like the same thing that happens when a rock star plays an auditorium. What's the dif?

That's great. The Holy Spirit is still at work.

However, you are not addressing the verses I gave you -- specifically, "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day."

Now I leave you one more for your consideration:

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
