THINK ABOUT IT......THE SALT DOMES ARE SAY...1 MILE IN HEAIGHT AND 50 TO 100 MILES IN LENGTH.....THAT MEANS...THE LAND PEOPLE ARE WALKING ON COULD....JUST COLLAPSE 1 MILE DOWN FOR 50 MILES LONG....CAN YOU IMAGINE FALLING 1 MILE INTO A HOLE....ALONG WITH THE LENGTH OF IT....I SAW PICTURES OF SOME CAVERN COLLAPSE SOMEWHER IN NORWAY...AND THEY COULD NOT SEE THE BOTTOM....JUST THE SIDE WALLS....HAPPENED LAST EARLY YEAR SOMETIME

He also said that he drives by the sinkhole regularly and that you can easily see the sinkhole from hwy 70 now. I am going to see if I can find that guy again and get a little more info from him. There seems to be hundreds of miles of methane bubbleing and ground releases from bayou corne to lake peigneur. SInkhole has just made a really bad methane escaping problem to a much worse outcome with land sinking.
