This is the city by me : In Nov. 30. 2012! [ link to losangeles.cbslocal.com] City Attorney Tells San Bernardino Residents To ‘Lock Their Doors,’ ‘Load Their Guns’ Because Of Police DownsizingSAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — The city attorney of San Bernardino is under scrutiny for telling residents to “lock their doors and load their guns” during a city council meeting. The official explained that because the city is bankrupt and slashing public safety budgets people will need to start protecting themselves Quoting: Indysmindy I was living in West L.A. (great place, love it) and a guy tried to attack me with a sledgehammer(!) in my alley. Silly boy, didn't work. Then he opened his trunk and pulled out an AK with a 72 round drum (I think it was close to unloaded because the gun looked light in his hand) and pointed it at me. I kept trying to get closer to him to take it away and my ex-wife (love her too) called 911. He decided to take off. Two cops showed up in my garage 45 MINUTES LATER, of course completely in charge of everything. I was building a cedar chest and covered in sawdust, tools around and on me and the one cop asked "what are YOU doing here?" I said "you're not going for detective, are you?". That didn't go over too well, but his friend laughed at him so he was stopped from what looked like hitting me. (I had a chisel hidden in my hand just in case). You just don't know who to trust anymore. Lesson; Be aware that you're the only person you can count on to save your skin when you're in trouble.
