It is a PROVEN statistic that as gun control increases so does crime. The criminals are a lot more brazen because their chances of getting shot or even coming up against a gun are significantly decreased. More crime in the UK more crime in Australia and more crime in Chicago.

More 911 calls won't get in-person response

Police are changing the way they respond to 9-11 calls.

The Chicago Police Department hopes to free up the equivalent of 44 officers a day by no longer dispatching cops for certain crimes, like burglaries and car thefts in which the offender is no longer at the scene and no one is in immediate danger.

Police confirmed the change, which takes effect Sunday. Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy told aldermen last year he was considering a move in that direction

The change is not related to plans by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and McCarthy to shift what they indicated was as many as 200 officers from administrative duties to beats so more officers can be assigned to teams that saturate crime hotspots, city spokesman Bill McCaffrey said.

The 911 dispatch changes and redeployment of officers come in the wake of the city’s most deadly January since 2002. A total of 42 people were murdered in Chicago last month, including 15-year-old band majorette Hadiya Pendleton, an innocent victim whose South Side slaying drew national attention.

Crimes that will no longer result in the dispatch of an officer to the crime scene include vehicle theft, theft, garage burglaries, criminal damage to property, the passing of bad checks, lewd or obscene phone calls, threatening phone calls that don’t pose an immediate danger and animal bites, McCaffrey said.

Officers will be dispatched if a suspect is still at the scene or is expected to return immediately, the victim is not considered safe or needs medical attention, an officer could make an immediate arrest or an officer is needed for an immediate investigation, McCaffrey added.

I am a resident of Chicago and work for a national retail electronics chain. Yesterday in my little store there was a shop lifter who I confronted over stealing a cellphone case. I warned her that I would call the police if she didn't give it back and that I saw her put it in her purse. She responded "I ain't take no case" and got in her car and drove off. So I called 911. When I got the operator and started to describe the woman, her car, and what she stole the operator interrupted me and asked is she still in the store. When I said no the woman had left, the 911 operator said, "Please hold while I transfer you to a detective to take a statement. Don't hang up now..." *click*
It took 30 minutes on hold with, "please stay on the line. Your call is very important to us..."*muzak* (I kid you not) to get someone who took a statement from me and said that he would mail the report to the store and a officer might call me in a few days for a follow up. As a tax payer this is ridiculous and makes me feel very unsafe.
This just means that no one will get caught since a officer won't even come out to look at evidence (I have a recording from the cameras).

In a normal world and society, police wouldn't even be necessary. They are, by default, the security service of parasites. A responsible, armed, and self-sufficient population informed by and adhering to natural law - which isn't the 'law of the jungle' - would ensure crime would be low and dealt with quickly. The system in the USA - and the entire Western world, generally, encourages, stokes, and protects crime and criminals. What exists now is the law of the jungle - with the productive and responsible having their hands tide behind their backs by the so-called 'authorities'.

This latest move by the scumbags in Chicago is only designed to terrorize the legally disarmed population even more - who will be the victims of this policy.
