cnn tracking me, wish i understood computers, i downloaded, as usual i get confused, i had 1300 temp files or something, i cant delete all them, call me stupid i dont care, just a foreign language to me, i clicked on albine and there blocking 6 now, rubicon project, cnn, comscore beacon, all time high 161 blocked. anybody know is there a place that is trusted to clean up youre computer and install this shit properly, i get too frustrated and usually end up fucking the computer up then takes days to get it figured out

I used to use peer block which would show computers trying to connect and track. it was crazy to see things like MIT and something called the San Diego super computer among others. All kinds of odd things. They should openly ask if they may track a person and not be creepy about it.

That addon is pretty sweet. Plus it also keeps track of the sites it blocks which I like.

When I look at it and see hundreds of thousands of tracking sites trying to get at me, I kinda smile. lol

Chrome is way cool.
There is an extension called NotScripts for Chrome, which does almost the same as the popular NoScript for FF, but it has one really cool additional feature:

In encrypts the cache. Its the only extension I now which does that.
So as anybody can read your cache anyway, the get only hashed garbage with that.

Thank you for the thread..info. Have to admit, never really thought about being "tracked" before. I am sure to make sure I have antivirus software and all that, but just did this addon for firefox, stuff starting popping up right away, so thank you! I just purchased this laptop literally like 3 days ago, haha. And, I use my laptop all the time, so this is def. good to have.
