to the one mentioning his firefox is blocked/erased and he/she now has to use IE: you did something wrong! maybe erased one thing too much? - if you don´t have a "restore" option,install firefox again. i know it is convenient to have your passwords eg automatically stored and inserted when you visit certain pages, but i would never do so. - if you have set a date for system recovery (recommended!), just recover your system. it´s really not rocket science ;)
i am using the tools as advised by OP, and it does work.
for all those paranoid about being followed by glp: it is only 4 sites following when you´re on here. that is - from my experience - less than when you read your online newspaper. to those afraid about who is following them: it is google+, facebook, twitter and Quantcast
just the usual suspects. no doom here ;)
