Regarding the way they describe the coating on the vessel to give it zero drag, there is a similar description in a book about hollow earth where they are crossing an underwater lake, the civilian notices no drag and inquires as to why, and the being informs him of a coating on the vessel that makes a 'charge' around them which gives them zero atmospheric drag. The book is called Etidorpha.

The Chinese regularly use jellyfish. Their submarines can hide beneath jellyfish to avoid sonar detection.
With China's new tech and calibrators they can keep their own subs safe from jellyfish attack and can now even steer/ control the jellyfish in any direction to provide cover.

Regarding attacking, would it be an attack only effecient on a still sub, or would they be able to actually catch moving subs with the jellyfish?

To add another thought, in 2009 there was a massive jellyfish crop circle. Given the stories of alien interference with our nuclear bombs, shutting down of missile silos; the crop circle may have been an early warning for us as "they" obviously show concern for human nuclear capabilities and our misuse of nuclear power.

That's crazy. I thought you were gonna give an image that may look like a jellyfish but that is literally without a doubt a jellyfish crop circle.
