Anyone with half a brain can understand how perspective is a factor here. The mailbox is clearly behind the guy sitting on the right (whatever his name is) when the camera shifts for that new angle. Then when the camera faces straight towards them, you can see it over the lady's left shoulder. The mailbox is not sitting on her left shoulder, it just may appear that way because of perspective.
