Re: Fukushima current status report

Came across 8 gig worth of Fukushima intel...have a peek at this. If anyone can debunk, soften, or explain to me what a probable outcome might be when the nuclear core reaches 205 meters, please post. Also, for those who are trained in the science, what might happen when this nuclear blob hits the core of the Earth?

There is more info posted here, at 4 shared, if you dare open as this glimpse equates to choosing the blue or red pill. Something's are better not known, but as free men/women the choice should be left to each and every individual.

I hope and pray I have connected the dots wrong, and would rest easier if someone tells me just that. But as I cannot dicier all science behind this, I feel it necessary to share the link, and will suffer my fate...GLPers God Speed.

I'm too tired right now to investigate the new info. but this is what I can tell you quickly..

Each reactor that melted down has about 300 tons of corium somewhere below the primary vessel.
The corium would have been at around 5000F initially.
Tepco says it is still in the secondary vessel.

Tepco says it is still in the secondary vessel.....but they have never said that publicly, and all the required paperwork seems to say just the opposite. Tepco can suggest the moon, but when putting it on record, it seems to read differently. Perhaps this is a loss in translation. Kinda hard to know which is fact when presented with Yen and Yang

LOL apples and oranges.

Weren't you were the one always telling us not to compare Fukushima to Chernobyl?

The 'elephant's foot' formed in an open room, after flowing through a pipe in the ceiling, and contained a unique mixture of material.

So in other words...

Just because a radioactive stalagtite formed at Chernobyl is absolutely no reason to assume Fukushima will do the same. You would be a fool to assume a best-case scenario in the wake of a nuclear meltdown.

Of the 10.2 metres of solid concrete that makes up the floor of the reactor building, the corium is thought to have melted and mixed with the first 70 centimetres only. The natural spreading and expansion of the corium, plus the addition of compounds of concrete, would have reduced the intensity of the heat produced until it reached an equilibrium and solidified in place. Tepco said it was confident the melting had ceased due to the absence of gases that would be released by the high-temperature reactions between corium and concrete.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33473565

Unless Daiichi has the exact same basement setup, you can hardly expect the same geological formations of melted concrete, something that has only thusfar happened at Chernobyl.

Even if they did, you still can not.

The shape of Chernobyl's plant interior, containment structures, and connecting pipes, greatly effected the flow of melted materials.

They also injected huge amounts of liquid nitrogen underground at Chernobyl to stop a melt-through. Did TEPCO do that too?

Also "corium" is a term for a melted mixture of nuclear fuel. The word 'corium' cannot specify what the mixture is.

So the 'corium' you refer to as being similar is just a word for 'radioactive lava' and could consist of mixtures of just about anything.

You're not telling me that a drum of liquid gasoline and a drum of liquid water is the same, are you?

Because that would be foolish indeed.

I know the difference between hardware store concrete and reactor containment concrete, you putz.

And what do you mean Chernobyl had no containment? Of course it did, it was first blown apart vertically and then melted through downward.

What, you think they didn't even contain the reactor core? Just set it up on a field with a few walls around it?

Again, there is absolutely no proof or indication that the concrete saddle has stopped / will stop the melting cores. Not even TEPCO has a damn clue at this point.

Sorry, allow me to rephrase... Chernobyl's reactor core did not have an individual containment, but the entire unit was built in a concrete containment pit measuring (in metres) 21.6×21.6×25.5 It also had upper and lower metal biological shields.

@ AB Japan

So you see, Chernobyl core fused with melted graphite, melted through 25 metres of reinforced concrete, liquified it, and continued to travel downwards until they managed to freeze it with liquid nitrogen and unknown tons of sand and boron.

It also only took 1200 degrees Celsius to liquify graphite, concrete, and anything else it touched.

Now if I read all this correctly, Fukushima only has 10.2 metres of concrete to melt through.

And it's packing a much higher temperature.

And nobody can get near it to check.

I would also like to add that TEPCO currently has absolutely no idea where the fuel that used to be in Reactor 2 Containment went.

All they know is that localized fission reactions continue to occur, as proven by the continuous presence of short-halflife elements like Xenon.

All they can do about it is dump boric acid on it and hope. They have no idea where the fuel scattered to, or what it's currently doing (besides continuing to undergo fission).

Re: Fukushima current status report
It has been suggested the corium exited the number 3 unit in 3 seconds. It's decent into the Earth is at a rate of .358 of a mile per day. This would equate to a depth of 250 miles in 99 weeks.

This is fact based on current knowledge of Corium, you can't shrill this. My humble request in posting, is for clarity in decifering all the intel into a probability of occurrence. Nothing more nothing less. If you have the answers please share with me so I can rest.
 Quoting: burpinflyz

if the estimate is 99 weeks.....then that would mean five weeks from the two year anniversary of Fukushima Daiichi meltdown.....Did the meltdown occur the day of the earthquake, or a couple days afterward?

3/11/2011 was the earthquake.

52 weeks in one year, 104 weeks in two years. -5 weeks = 99 weeks.

3/11/2013 = 2 year anniversary (104 weeks)
3/4/2013 = 103 weeks from earthquake on 3/11/2011
2/25/2013 = 102 weeks
2/18/2013 = 101 weeks
2/11/2013 = 100 weeks
2/4/2013 = 99 weeks

So, today is 2/6/2013. Is it possible the fuel has continued burning and eating its way to the core of the earth, and sometime in the next 48-72 hours, it reaches the earth's core? I am not an expert, and I am merely postulating using information I do not understand. I will add that in the weeks after 3/11/2011, I was very scared reading on ene news .com and on other similar sites. Talk of an ELE, and 100 orders of magnitude greater than Chernobyl. And then the obvious msm coverups in the hours and days and weeks afterward, now you don't hear nary a peep.

WOW! Not trying to fear monger, but read this passage from the Wikipedia article I quote above:

Japanese officials initially assessed the accident as Level 4 on the International Nuclear Event Scale (INES) despite the views of other international agencies that it should be higher. The level was later raised to 5 and eventually to 7, the maximum scale value.

Right down to the core you say?
Isn't there a verse in Revelations where the angel went right down to hell and opened the gates or something??

Found it!: (NIV)

Revelations 9:1-3The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth.

Start using some clear thoughts and think about fissioning.
You are told that fissioning happens when fuel rods are placed side by side full of fuel pellets in a coated zirconium tube.
The neutrons jump from on rod to another smashing into atoms and control rods are lowered between them to stop the fissioning.

I've gave you the very basic of what we are told to believe, so now have a think about a meltdown.
Once something like that melted down, the fissioning process would cease to exist, if it were real in the first place, which it isn't.

hmm
 Quoting: Tanarus

Comparing Fukushima to Pripyat CNPP is a bad analogy at this point, as although the accidents have similarity initially, the geology and more importantly, the inaction of the Japanese to gain some modicum of control ASAP after the accident has completely separated the possible outcomes of the two incidents.

............... A Corium would not melt his Way through the Ground and unlimeted because he get dirty on his Way,we had seen this in Chernobyl for example (Elephants Foot)..........

'Technically' could be correct, but unfortunately, the variables that occurred in creating CNPP's 'Elephant Foot' were not natural, they were induced by the acts of the 'Liquidators' smothering the reactor site (and consequently the liquified fuel) with various minerals in the immediate hours and days following the breach.

Being truthful, there is no evidence or actual models to predict that China Syndrome would or wouldn't happen. China Syndrome is pure and utter theory, but is regarded as entirely plausible by the scientific community, hence it's general adoption.

Geology around the reactor site is critically important, even more-so is the location of Fukushima to the ocean water table.

Because of the lack of action immediately following the accident at Fukushima, the molten fuel can never be brought under manual control with current scientific knowledge, the best hope for the site is exactly mentioned above, in that the molten fuel will become contaminated with soil, sand and minerals and become a highly radioactive, semi-solid mass that will become static.

There is absolutely no possible procedure whatsoever to manage superheated molten fuel, regardless of what any Govt agency or corporation claims, it's beyond our science at this time.

That's what they want you to believe but it simply only needs a person to clear their mind and think about a moltem mass of metal, which is what Uranium in purported to be(metal)..
In truth, there is no such thing as Uranium in Nuclear terms.
I know it might sound crazy in what I'm saying because you have been brought up with Nuclear power plants and the threat of Nuclear bombs but it's all a load of old pony designed to hide what really is going on at those power plants, which is free energy disguised as Nuclear so people don't pry.
I don't expect you to believe me, it's up to you what to believe but I know in my own mind it's a front and what's known as a conspiracy within a conspiracy.
It's clever as it divides people into 3 categories.
Those who believe in Nuclear.
Those who believe it's dangerous.
Those who believe it's not dangerous.

I hope and pray I have connected the dots wrong, and would rest easier if someone tells me just that. But as I cannot dicier all science behind this, I feel it necessary to share the link, and will suffer my fate...GLPers God Speed.

It's all a load of old crap. There is no melting core.

Silly boy, get yourself to Uni and get Nuclear Physics 101 for starters. Bleating your wilful fantasies are not going to change the reality of what is happening.

Uni lol.
I'll tell you what. Go and enrol into uni and ask for nuclear physics, see what they tell you.

Even TEPCO admits the reality that at least two cores have experienced full meltdown.

You must be remarkably ignorant of the topic.

And now you're here claiming that the entire nuclear industry is a free energy front?

blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah

You are a fucking retard, you are derailing an otherwise informative thread, and nobody gives a shit about your half-baked evidence-free ignorant pseudoscience.

If you want to examine such a ridiculously far-flung idea, make your own fucking thread, and show up with some fucking proof and evidence next time ya twat.

Nobody wants to hear your fanciful unsupported bullshit.

In this thread, people are talking mainstream scientific fact as we currently understand it, about a real situation that is really happening, in the real World.

Put the weed back in the jar, you are truly delusional, and offer nothing but personal fantasy in this topical thread.

1.) I only base my opinions on facts. You present no evidence or facts. Therefore I would be a fool to believe you, and you are a fool expecting educated people to take you seriously without it.

2.) I'm not worrying myself to death, thank you very much. I'm pursuing an interest. I also intend to be the first to know when there is an immediate cause for worry. That is the whole point of discussing conspiracies and alt news. If that doesn't appeal to you, then why the fuck are you here?

3.) The burden of proof regarding your own crackpot theories is entirely on your shoulders, not mine. Got evidence? Well put up or shut up.
