I will look for the Files later but just let me debunk the Myth of a "China Syndrome": A Corium would not melt his Way through the Ground and unlimeted because he get dirty on his Way, we had seen this in Chernobyl for example (Elephants Foot)
4Gb sounxs like a good Read, Domo!
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33473565 I only ask as I had lunch with a Nuclear Mathematician who suggested in passing, the laws of diminishing returns had a bastard twin, on that followed the say principles, but in the opposite direction. As we were in a public forum, I felt it was not the time to ask if this issue was able to reach the Earths core. As I am not sleeping well, I posted here before making a call in the morning. I think the one issue that disregards a China Syndrome, is the mixture of Nuclear Materials Fukushima had on hand at the time of mishap. Quoting: burpinflyz Well I am not a "nuclear mathematician" but I am an applied mathematician. I suppose he was talking about negative-feedback (stable) processes, and positive-feedback (unstable, diverging) processes. Almost everything in life is negative-feedback. There are some things that are locally positive-feedback, and everyone's real scared of those. The climate fearmongers suggest global temperature is positive-feedback: earth warms, ice melts, earth darkens and absorbs more energy, earth warms faster, and so on. But as we see this year (I am currently looking out my window at a blizzard) that isn't happening. :) In my opinion, not so humble in this company, there's every reason to expect that if Chernobyl got "elephant's foot" there's every reason to expect the same to happen with Fukushima. Maybe several times deeper, heck even if it's 100 or 1000 times deeper (which it hardly could be unless Fukushima's waste can generate that many times more energy, which is not posited) -- so what. It would still be in the top skin of the earth.
