Regarding 2012 DA14, what do you consider the possibility of it crunching a satellite or 2 & the consequences of that? Quoting: Elemental Extremely unlikely. If it did hit a satellite in the Clarke belt it could start a chain reaction of satellite debris. Domino effect. I'll be running it again with all data later and when I do that the latest data will probably exclude the possibility of a satellite collision. ![]() |

So basically, if I'm thinking correctly, the asteroid should pass between the satellite's orbits and the earth due to their altitude? |

The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It definitely isn't a "brown dwarf" or anything crazy like that, but enjoy it anyway! Quoting: Dr. Astro Hey Dr. Astro, on a completely different subject but i was wondering if you could get a picture of the Black Knight satellite? Or perhaps your opinion on it? Thanks I hope AC |
