well u know what i mean,pain is there to serve a purpose to teach you and tell you something,btw ive heard that women who go through natural birth giving helps and remedies can reduce it to very low levels

however i think if woman wouldnt feel pain than she wouldnt remember as good and clear of those events so that serves multiple purposes

Gen 9:7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

Considering the bible doesn't mention it I think it's fair to assume yes. Birthing and ovulation are two different things.
