Why are people eating their own trash? - a study in illogical assumptions
So this story, "Why are people eating their own trash?", was posted in the GLP left margin for a while.

[link to www.mnn.com]

An example of the stacking of a mountain of wrong assumptions, which would seem to serve an unspoken agenda.

I warn you folks, this is propaganda with an agenda, and some of us would rather avoid other peoples organizations agendas of public manipulation, in favor pealing back those sorts of things. Perhaps more shocking are other much more serious marine issues that go completely unmentioned.

Don't get me wrong, I am an environmentalist at heart, and mourn for the damage that industrial people do to the environment, and for how some humans oppress their fellow humans and other beings.

I do not deny that there is a gyre of plastic in parts of the oceans, I have know about this for decades and it is logical, and it is not good, but the issue being made has an agenda of smoke-screen.

I also met some young filmmakers who were traveling around the world, being paid a considerable amount of money to document and promote this cause. They filmed and interviewed me about 6 months ago in fact, but I haven't heard anything about that since then.

But this is an example of propaganda supported by an agenda which is not what it appears to be at face value.

um yeah are you trying to make some sort of point? are you saying that plastic chemicals are actually good for us? i can't make any sense of what you are saying.

No, I'm not saying that.

Some plastics, the more flexible types, contain Bisphenol A (BPA), an additive that mimics estrogen, and has statistically shown to adversely affect male biological function, and even has possibly lead to cascade effects on people and wildlife, affecting populations and a lot more.

There are a lot of different materials called "plastic", but aside from BPA, most of it is not toxic (besides that most people are eating and drinking from BPA plastics every day anyhow, for better or worse)

The ocean currents cause gyre areas where floating debris naturally accumulate. The plastic washes down rivers and from all manner of sources worldwide. As time passes with the plastic in water, the soluable BPA dissolves in the sea water. Some species of sea life end up eating more of that plastic than others.

Most particles, especially those that have been floating around for a long time will have already lost most of their BPA that would be absorbed by creature, as compared to fresh plastic, and much of that may pass through their systems without much problem.

No, it's still not good, but the ocean is a very big place, and no amount of good intentioned ocean-going ships are going to clean up even a fraction of the trash. And even if they could, the fuel the ships consume in the process is going to do far more total damage to the environment then they are supposedly going to solve.

There is no major solution to the problem aside from Agenda 21, and there still is the question of how serious of a problem this is, in relation to much more serious problems,

...more serious problems like powerful underwater noises produced by military and intelligence departments, which decimates some species in a large area, and disrupts all species in even larger areas. The thing is, is that sound travels much farther and much more powerfully underwater.

A deaf marine mammal is a dead marine mammal, although it may take months before they die of starvation from being "blind" without their natural sonar.

But that gets little attention, because, I guess, that you can't seem to control what governments do.

Releases of radioactive isotopes into the sea from Fukushima are unprecedented by many magnitude, and now all the data since several months after 3/11, is being kept secret be the World Health Organization, and by governments.

Go look and those cute over simplistic drawings in the link we are refering to.

Notice how in two diagrams they show counter-clockwise rotation in the Pacific. That is wrong. The Pacific current rotation is clockwise, not counter-clockwise.

No biggie how they made their silly drawings, just an accident, but it helps one to forget the fact that the water flows directly from Japan to Canada and the US. Large quantities of radioactive isotopes must be building up in sea-going salmon and tuna and other sea-food, but the government has prohibited scientists from revealing data now.

There are releases of countless other man-made toxins that are far more harmful then the perhaps scanty or undefined threat posed by the plastic gyres, other threats that are more clearly valid.

But what can we do about that? because once again the only one to blame is big industry and corrupt government.

No, this issue seems to float better because the only party to blame, is "All Of Humanity", which is a brick that fits in nice with agenda 21. Like Global Warming.

As for me, I no longer eat anything that comes from the ocean, and never will again, because EVERYTHING drains to the oceans, and they are already screwed up beyond all repair.

In any case we each do what we can to live lightly on the environment, and our lives are short, so we need to choose our battles and apportion our attention carefully.

So about 6 months ago in front of the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City I met some young film-makers that were on an around the world sailing journey documenting the plastic gyres.

They seemed to appreciate that I spoke english, was verbose, had a series of opinions that I had ready to share and ready to perform for their cameras.

I skirted around their issue of the plastic gyre, even though I had known about it from science journals. Instead I took off talking about the negative effects of the industrial lifestyle, as compared to indigenous lifestyles, and bigger and more direct threat to most people by psychopathic powers that be.

Come to find out, these two are the children of someone who is a confirmed Bilderberg attendee and is clearly a "power that is". The plastic gyre issue attracts money mostly from "private" PTB, and government sources, it seems to me.

I might be wrong, and I am not saying that this may or may not be much of problem, but my intuition says that this greater issue is serving as smoke screen,

and also as a nice pretext for a couple of rich kids to travel around the world, places far from the ocean, and generally have a lot of fun.

Good for them.

We would all do good to be happy and not worry, as expressed in the attitude of the two young film makers.

If anyone drinks out of soda bottles, eats from cans, or touches most receipts, they already get doses of BHA far greater they they would ever get from eating seafood, but they should not eat seafood for different pollutants and reasons.
