Christians: How Unconditional Love Exist Where There Is Jealousy?

Deuteronomy 22: 28-29

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.



There is no contradiction and John is correct.

God is Love is truth.

God is also wrathful, jealous, and at times down right hateful.

John is just pointing out which aspect you should focus on.


Jesus also said that if you love your mother more than me, you are not worthy of me.

He was not telling you to love your Mother less, but to love him equal, even with the least of these, my friends.

Deuteronomy 17:12

Meant is love among ppl, the disciples of Jesus particularly.

Yeah... how can god love us unconditionally yet be a hateful, jealous and wrathful being toward us? When it clearly states that those emotions cannot exist where love is present.

It is because you focus on acts of the flesh that you do not understand.


The Bible is not a book of the flesh, unless you read it with a carnal mind.

It is a book of spirit and can only be properly understood by the Spirit.


The raping of the young woman here, is stealing her heart away, even if she is reluctant to give it up.

He must pay the fifty pieces of silver, which again is not material silver - but rather spiritual silver, to her father (which as Jesus taught, is the Father in heaven *call no man your father but your father in heaven*, at which time he MUST marry her (those the bride of Christ).

Now how much silver was Jesus sacrifice worth?


30 pieces of silver.


Thus there is a remaining balance that must be paid before he can properly collect his bride.

I agree. The bible is completely metaphorical. Most christians dont thought. Most believe that all of the stories are true...

The Bible is a form of control for those who are not willing to find answers for themself

Exactly. Anyone who thinks that TPTB dont have complete control over it is fooling themselves. They wrote it way back when to control the sheep and this ancient form of brainwashing is stronger than ever!

the bible was set up as a means for a "civilized" society back in the day. it took pieces of spiritual guidance and inter-weaved it with man's law. It is fallible because it was written by man, not god. god didn't set up the printing press. God didn't dip the pen's in the ink. God had as much to do with the bible as with the super bowl.

Exactly, especially since it was manipulated all throughout history. Constantine saved the roman empire by manipulating it way back in 325AD.

How about Jesus do you believe he was a real man? How about king David?
